Reporting to the People Leader, the Human Resource Specialist will be responsible for a wide variety of Human Resource services for Maple Leaf Agri-Farms supporting locations in Manitoba and Saskatchewan.

•    Lead and execute recruitment and selection for hourly employees within Manitoba and Saskatchewan to budget and ensure accurate reporting

•    Responsible for coordinating retention and recognition programs such as the Hourly Employee Referral, Spotlight Award programs etc.
•    Assist with projects and events from the MLF Diversity and Inclusion and Mental Health Strategies 
•    Providing weekly and monthly reporting as required

As a Heavy Duty Mechanic, you will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and inspection of our heavy equipment and machinery. Your expertise in diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical issues will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our equipment fleet.

Responsibilities:

• Perform maintenance and repairs on a variety of heavy equipment, including excavators, bulldozers, loaders, graders, and other construction machinery.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues using diagnostic tools and equipment.
• Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance to identify and address potential problems before they escalate.
• Troubleshoot and repair engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension systems, and other components of heavy equipment.

This position, reporting to the Manager of Transport Planning (West), will be part of a technical team responsible for planning and preliminary design work transforming and evolving the IPRAN network to a Unified Access Transport network supporting Service Expansion and major Wireless/Wireline Programs such as 5G, New Site Builds.
