Group Summary:

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Program robot paths, set up program structure and implement offline programming
• Configure robot IO, weld interface and program call
• Set up structure for robot programs
• Provide robotic support and training as required
• Develop and control program structure as jobs progress
• Work on Robot drawings and configurations
• Train and work with other programmers to enhance skill level
• Read and interpret electrical blue prints, schematics and specifications
• Order materials for Robots
• Anticipate and solve robotic problems (troubleshoot)
• Operate various tools and equipment including precision equipment (testers), megger, scope
• Fastening down of tooling and robots
• Work closely with Robotic Supervisor regarding projects, monitoring workload and deadlines
• Perform assigned tasks in a safe manner and know how to properly lock out all energy sources, including stored energy
• Consult your Supervisor/Assistant Supervisor if you are not 100% sure of how to perform tasks in a safe manner
• Perform other reasonable duties as required

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Hands-on experience programming robots Fanuc and/or Kuka (# of years determine level)
• Good understanding of IO, transfer of information between Robot and PLC, and PLC functionality
• Good understanding of robot program flow and basic programming theories
• Knowledge of the CSA Z434 and RIA robotic safety standards and how they apply
• Experience in robotic spot welding, mig welding, material handling is required
• Practical experience and good understanding of electrical circuitry and wiring
• Sound mechanical ability to work on robot dress packages and peripheral equipment
• Must have own tools
• Computer skills using Microsoft Word, Excel and Autocad
• Superior mathematical and organizational skills

Picking line

• Pulling cased stacks of packaged milk, using a hook onto the picking track, assembly of skid orders, including individual product order picking as required. Heavy lifting required.
• Utilize tow motor to supply picking line with correct product as required for daily order picking, including picked quantities and downtime etc.

Palletizer/Stacker

• Utilize tow motor to unload skids for product from palletizer to stock the warehouse floor

Loader

• Utilize tow motor to load skids of product onto trailers from daily order sheets

Note: The following responsibilities are common to all assignments listed above:

• Record any shift data required
• Identify any leakers and/or damages and move to recycle area
• Troubleshoot all equipment problems pertaining to the area and provide corrective action
• Other duties as assigned
• General housekeeping duties for warehouse

Overview of the Role

The EMS Specialist will address and manage the environmental responsibilities related to a major dairy manufacturing facility including being the lead in environmental stewardship at the site. 

How you will make contributions that matter:

• Aid in the deployment and site management of the new corporate Environmental Management System (EMS);

• Ensure the site clearly understands, leadership-endorsed environmental objectives and targets to work towards;

• Determine what factors/processes/systems have the greatest impact on the site's environmental sustainability KPIs (water, wastewater, waste, energy, etc.);

• Lead the site's effort to identify and manage significant environmental aspects (New Aspect Register);

• Conduct assessments to identify behaviors, processes, controls and technology to manage risk and drive improvement;

• Assess site-level training needs, arrange relevant training and ensure training records are updated;

• Raise awareness and ownership of environmental performance within the site;

• Analyze environmental and sustainability data to understand environmental performance, ensure compliance with permit conditions and identify trends;

• Engage appropriate plant personnel to roll-out new controls for improved risk management / continuous improvement on significant environmental aspects.

• Drive cost reduction initiatives through reduction at source efforts.

  •  Implementing and reviewing/auditing environmental management systems.

  • Implementing an effective resource conservation (climate/water/waste) program in a manufacturing setting.

  • Engaging and influencing internal audiences around the benefits of sound environmental management.

  • Collecting, analyzing and reporting environmental and sustainability data.

• Experience with responding to requests around Sustainability and Corporate Responsibility (Carbon Disclosure Project, Walmart Index, SEDEX, etc.);

• Understanding of Manufacturing Practices within the food and beverage industry and how this relates to environmental issues;

The Electrician position, under limited direction, installs, maintains, test, troubleshoots and repairs industrial electrical equipment and associated electrical and electronic controls. Primarily accountable for interpreting architectural drawings and electrical code specifications and form and test electrical circuits to ensure health and safety regulations. Performance Expectations

· Oversee inspections of electrical systems to ensure compliance with Ontario Electrical Standards Act.

Credentials

· Able to read schematic drawings in order to troubleshoot and repair equipment.

· Ability to troubleshoot and determine resolutions when encountering malfunctions in equipment.

· Knowledge of phone systems, network cabling, security systems, door access systems and video surveillance systems is an asset.

· Able to work rotating shifts and weekend work, as needed.

· Travel may be required between Guelph facilities.
