Main Purpose and Function
The Vancouver Board of Parks and Recreation is accepting applications from qualified individuals to be added to the eligibility list for Fitness Centre Workers to join our auxiliary team. This role will provide qualified candidates an opportunity to work in and across a diverse portfolio of facilities and spaces in the City, including several 2010 Olympic venues. Specific Duties and Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for instructing patrons on equipment and enforcing rules of conduct and fitness centre policies. The Fitness Centre Worker will also demonstrate exercises and the proper use of equipment to individuals and groups. The Fitness Centre Worker is also responsible for cleaning and maintaining the fitness centre and its equipment, making minor adjustments and repairs as needed. The Fitness Centre Worker will treat minor injuries and make necessary arrangements for the treatment of more serious accidents and provide accident reports to a superior as required. • Completion of Grade 10

Reporting to the Food & Beverage Operations Team Lead, the Cook/Grill Worker engages in the preparation of a variety of a la carte breakfast, lunch and dinner meals whichinclude banquet and buffet functions.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities
The Cook Grill Worker is responsible for preparing light meals and short orders from an established menu. Working in a team environment the successful candidate must adhere to the principles of proper food handling, preparation and storage, prepare various foods including vegetables, meats, soups, salads and baking by following standardized recipes and methods as determined by their direct supervisor. Additionally they may be required to handle cash at times, in order to assist with covering breaks and shift overlaps.

Main Purpose and Function
The Engineering Assistant III (EA III) is a part of a multi-disciplinary team that prepares GRI designs for construction in right-of-ways and other public spaces.
