JOB SUMMARY

The Transit Facilities Maintenance Unit is responsible for the property management functions associated with the maintenance, operation and repair of all transit facilities.

Reporting to a Plant Supervisor, you are responsible for a full range of installation, testing, trouble-shooting, maintenance and preventive maintenance duties, and for repairing a wide variety of electrical and/or mechanical equipment and installations.  These include, but are not limited to HVAC, hydraulic/pneumatic systems, distribution and switching systems, motors, power storage and conditioning systems, fire, lighting, control and building management systems, and low-pressure boilers/general gas fittings used and/or installed in the garage properties and transitway stations.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Journeyman’s certificate as a Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Mechanic 313A and completion of Gas Technician G1 Certification. 

Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Journeyman related to installing, trouble shooting, maintenance and repair of all types of building energy systems, mechanical, Gas and electrical operating equipment, and bus servicing equipment.

CERTIFICATIONS AND LICENCES

TSSA Gas Technician 1 (G1) certificate
Must obtain Forklift Operator Licence within the timeframe determined by the employer
Valid Ontario unrestricted G class driver’s licence (or provincial equivalent) with no more than 6 demerit points accumulated
Must obtain Ontario unrestricted AZ or DZ class driver’s licence (or provincial equivalent) within the timeframe determined by the employer
Valid Ontario Certificate of Qualification as Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Systems Mechanic 313A

You are responsible for providing optimum emergency medical call taking and dispatching services for the Eastern Ontario Catchment Area in accordance with Provincial legislation and City of Ottawa policies. You provide quality and accessible dispatching services in response to the needs of the client/patient.  Service is provided in the most efficient and effective manner possible.

Under direct supervision, you receive and assess calls for medical assistance, provide medical pre-arrival instructions to callers, and deploy emergency vehicles and paramedics to obtain maximum coverage and efficiency. Calls received include, but are not limited to: emergency/distress calls, request for medical service, general information, general inquiry and complaint calls.  Dispatch duties include assigning the most appropriate ambulance/resource (i.e. air ambulance, bike team, marine and tactical teams) to respond to the location of the emergency and providing the ambulance crews with all pertinent information.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

One year of post-secondary education in Emergency Communications, Public Safety or Health Care.

Minimum of 4 years of experience in a customer service field (face-to-face or telephone).
 

CERTIFICATIONS AND LICENCES

Current Standard First Aid, CPR and/or AED certificates
Emergency Medical Dispatcher (EMD) Certification course is desirable
Current Emergency Medical Responder certificate (EMR) is desirable

KNOWLEDGE

  • Superior understanding of the concepts and procedures of medical oriented dispatch and pre-arrival instruction to callers in emergency situations.  
  • Working knowledge of aircraft operations (e.g. safety aspects to provide pre-arrival instructions to callers, of response time to effectively schedule ambulance rendezvous, of specialized equipment such as incubators).

JOB SUMMARY

The Chief Information Security Office is responsible for delivering and overseeing cybersecurity and digital risk management programs across all City business lines, including strategic enablement and emerging threats identification, policy and implementation oversight, digital risk management, and security governance and culture transformation. The Service directly impacts operations across 14 unique business lines, $ 9 billion revenue generation processes, enables the delivery of critical services to more than a million constituents, as well provides vital support for governmental continuity across federal and provincial partners.  

The Cybersecurity Policy and Implementation Oversight Unit is responsible for the development, approval, and implementation of cybersecurity policies and standards.

You are responsible for developing and coordinating the implementation and approval of new cybersecurity policies and standards. You assess the effectiveness of the established technical security programs and cybersecurity controls base on the adopted operational model. You also build partnerships with all departments to ensure policy compliance and that the City meets set cybersecurity maturity objectives.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Completion of a 4 year university degree in Information Security, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field.

Minimum of 7 years of progressively responsible experience in technology administration, information security, or risk management.

CERTIFICATIONS AND LICENCES

Related Information/Technology Security certification is desirable (e.g. CISSP, CISM, CISA, CRISC, SABSA, CAP, EC-Council)

KNOWLEDGE

  • Deep subject matter expertise in Information Security, Compliance and/or Risk Management programs and best practices, preferably within the Tech and Public Administration Sectors
  • Experience in developing or maintaining security policies across a wide variety of regulatory and compliance frameworks 
  • In depth knowledge of least two of the following: the NIST Cybersecurity Framework, ISO 2700x, SOC1 & 2 (SSAE18), PCI DSS, NIST-800-53, FFIEC Cybersecurity Assessment Tool, SANS Top 20, etc.
  • Sufficient technical knowledge of the cutting edge concepts, principles, and trends relevant to a technology and cybersecurity domains
  • Understanding of the global cybersecurity threat landscape and politically, social, or financially motivated cyber crime  
  • Knowledge of applicable health and safety legislation, including the rights and duties of workers

  • Excellent writing, communication, and organizational skills - strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to confidently convey nuanced information to a variety of audiences, including senior leaders.
