The Apprentice – Millwright position is responsible for maintaining production and facility equipment in working condition for maximum uptime.

Performance Expectations

· Complete work assignments ensuring work is completed thoroughly and in a timely manner.

· Perform outlined procedures for regular machine preventive/predictive maintenance program.

· Conduct troubleshooting and repair activities for machine breakdowns as necessary.

· Install new equipment coordinated with outside services, as required.

· Establish and maintain maintenance standards and develop and recommend maintenance programs.

· Notify appropriate personnel of stock deficiencies and tool/material requirements.

· Ensure compliance with all legislative requirements in the facility’s geographic location i.e. TS 16949, OHSAS 18001:2007, ISO 14001:2004.

· Support and maintain the department lean initiatives as set out in LPS system requirements.

· Maintain performance standards.

· Apply and write the Provincial examination within one year of completion date of apprenticeship

Credentials

· High School Diploma or equivalent general education. Successful candidates must provide proof of Grade 12 (or GED) to Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities.

· Related work experience and/or training in a machining environment (high volume automotive manufacturing environment considered an asset.

· Experience with CNC machines considered an asset.

· Computer fundamentals considered an asset; with strong mathematical skills.

· Exposure to modern manufacturing techniques (Six Sigma, LEAN mfg.) considered an asset.

· Knowledge of IATF 16949 and related procedures.

· Ability to safely lift up to 40-45 lbs. on an occasional basis.

The Accounting Clerk is responsible for reporting to the facility Accounting Manager providing efficient clerical support while preparing invoices and statements, reconciling accounts and posting to general ledgers and other accounting records based on standard accounting practices.

• Enter A/R Payments and review outstanding invoices.
• Follow up with customer for past due accounts.

• Prepare monthly adjustments, reversing journal entries and accruals.

The Opportunity 
The Part-Time General Labourer position is responsible for general production which would include determining the gender of the bird, ensuring quality of product and other elemental activities related to hatchery operations. The scheduled shifts would be Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday with a 5:45am start time. The Production Supervisor position is responsible for coordinating and direct the activities of the production department to maximize productivity and minimizing costs while maintaining quality. Primarily accountable for inspecting product to verify production specifications are met and train and supervise production personnel. · Ability to use basic computer applications and software such as Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.

· Able to read completed inspection forms to ensure all maintenance, repair and inspection tasks have been adequately completed by workers.

The Material Handler Position will be responsible for playing a key role in supporting our production and shipping team in a fast-paced work environment. Your function as a tow motor operator will be to support the production lines, load, unload and move materials as needed throughout the facility.

Essential Responsibilities

• Load and unload trucks in shipping and receiving areas.
• Manually pick, package, bank or wrap a variety of materials.
• Neatly store material in proper storage areas.
• Maintain flow of material to all machines and assembly areas, first in, first out.
• Take parts for final inspection and or in process inspection area to shipping.
• Assist in emptying waste in outside containers.
• Empty all chip bins in proper containers.
• Keep all manufacturing and shipping and receiving areas well organized.
• Ensure that plant is clean and organized at all times.
• Inspect tow motors before each shift and ensure documentation is completed.
• Report any unsafe conditions to supervisor.
• Participation in continuous improvement programs.
• Other duties assigned as needed.

Qualifications and Skills

• High school Diploma or equivalent general education.
• Prior fork truck driving experience is required.
• Prior computer skills using Microsoft Word, Excel and Access preferred.
• Ability to Interact with various personnel to confirm details, coordinate tasks and discuss concerns and resolutions.
• Able to work in a team and independently as needed.
