What you will do:

 

  • Assume responsibility for order processing, which includes proposing pricing within established margins, sourcing additional products and creating purchase orders
  • Enter quotes and orders into the system accurately and in a timely manner
  • Ensure accuracy in pricing, inventory and order information provided to customers
  • Establish and maintain relationships with new and existing customers via telephone or email with the goal of driving additional sales
  • Prepare quotes and process orders on behalf of outside sales staff
  • Respond to customer requests promptly
  • Achieve sales targets set by management by promoting or upselling products

What you will bring:

 

  • Minimum 3 years experience in sales
  • Experience with heating, refrigeration and ventilation products or a related field
  • Any combination of relevant experience may be considered.
  • DEC in building mechanics or DEP and heating (an asset)
  • General computer skills, including Microsoft Office
  • Knowledge of the AS400 system, an asset
  • High level of commitment to providing exceptional customer service
  • Proven initiative and ability to work independently and in a collaborative team environment

What you will do:

  • Assists customers with detailed pricing proposals/quotes for products and services projects.
  • Supports new sales opportunities through bid monitoring, prospecting and project research.
  • Follow a systematized sales process designed to convert leads into in-home sales opportunities by listening, understanding the consumer’s needs, asking probing questions, overcoming objections, and securing details to aid in the eventual sale.
  • Provides and develops documentation for customers to look at product information and solutions. Provide product and technical information to outsides sales to support generation of sales into the utility segment.
  • Make a high volume of outbound phone calls to consumers who submitted a web form for information on our products with the intention of scheduling an in-home sales visit for the Sales Closer. Occasionally receives inbound phone calls for the same purpose.
  • Communicates with internal and external resources, providing customer service and completing quotations, fulfilment of demand, ensuring on-time delivery of orders, providing engineering support, and troubleshooting other customer problems.
  • Fulfills Sales Support activities for the Order to Invoice process, owning the customer interface for quality processes: corrective actions, Field Quality Reports.
  • Adhere to Company compliance and Health Safety and Environment (HSE) policies, procedures, and requirements
  • Regular and reliable attendance
  • All team members work one weekend per month in rotation.

What you will bring:

  • Experience working in a modern (automated) contact center is a must with an emphasis on consultative sales or lead-generation.
  • Ability to collaborate with others and understand geography and lead-setting skills. 
  • Proven track record of success in selling over the phone, consultative sales, lead setting, or other relevant contact center experience.
  • Exhibits superior technical skills and ability to task switch between omni channel contact center software, a CRM, mapping tools, the Microsoft Office suite, and other cloud-based tools.

How you will make contributions that matter:

  • Partner closely with the warehouse team to ensure warehouse inventory tasks are effectively monitored and managed.

  • Manage inventory control activities to include identifying, investigating, and resolving inventory discrepancies.

TheHub Operations Clerkis a part-time, day sort position and is responsible for updating package information, validating deliveryinformation using UPS systems, scanning premium service packages, assisting dispatch and updating the package inventory systems. This position may also perform general administrative responsibilities including preparation of reports using various software packages, compilation of information from various sources, and handling small scale projects.

The Hub Operations Clerk may be required to utilize heavy machinery to complete tasks, and will be trained to operate these equipment. Included in the responsibilities will be to complete package recovery process in the Hub, package inventory update, overgoods, DG processing and all other work as assigned.

  • Shift:Monday to Friday (5 days/Week) 12:00PM - 5:00PM(shifts can vary and/or extend due to operational requirements) 

  • Compensationstarting at $17.40 hourly

Responsibilities:

  • Completes package and inventory recovery process in the Vancouver Hub Operations

  • Completes overgoods processing and documentation

  • Generates package recovery and overgoods processing reports for Hub Operations and Package Care

  • Processes Dangerous Goods (DG) package recovery

  • Takes action to learn all product and service offerings

  • Operates all office equipment, software, and devices

  • Maintains a clean, organized, and safe working environment

Qualifications:

  • Strong customer service skills

  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Applications

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to work in a warehouse environment

Job Details

The Carrier Compliance Administrator works in a fast paced environment to ensure the on-boarding and monitoring of outside carriers. The Administrator vets, onboards and updates carriers using third party tools like Carrier411 and RMIS. The Carrier Compliance Administrator reviews carrier adherence to established Day & Ross policies for safety and insurance. The Administrator uses available tools for on going compliance monitoring and communicates any deviations to internal team members.

How You’ll Help

  • Timely processing of requests from Operations teams to update, vet and setup carriers.
  • Set-up new carriers in our carrier compliance software (MercuryGate/TruckMate).
  • Validate and input carrier compliance documentation and collaborate with stakeholders including Logistics Coordinators, Operation Managers, Finance and Carriers to gather all the required information for new carrier setup in our system.
  • Update existing carrier information in our carrier compliance system as needed based on our requirements and processes.
  • Communicate with various departments as required (AP, Claims Departments, Management, etc.).
  • Process monthly reports for ongoing carrier compliance monitoring to Day & Ross’ thresholds and take required actions based on current carrier performance.
  • Maintain and update established SOPs as directed by Management.
  • Participate in various compliance internal and external calls and report back any observations and opportunities for improvement.
  • Other related duties as may be required.

Your Skills & Experience: 

  • College, University degree or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years experience in transportation/logistics industry.
  • High degree of computer proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint and other MS Office applications.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Must be able to effectively work in a fast paced environment.
  • Must be able to self manage, take initiative and work independently.
  • Ability to map processes and document SOP’s.

    • Able to analyze, interpret and solve problems.
    • Able to gather input from internal & external customers.
