JOB SUMMARY

The mandate of the Rail Construction Program is to transform, develop, grow and sustain Ottawa’s Light Rail Transit Systems as a component of the City of Ottawa’s overall transportation and mobility strategy. 
 

You are responsible for: coordinating, overseeing and monitoring the construction works related to the Stage 2 Light Rail Transit (LRT) project within the City’s Rail Construction Program; coordinating works associated with multiple phases of the project, including early works, design, construction, demolition, rehabilitation, testing, commissioning, closeout, turnover to clients, warranty and maintenance; and supporting management staff in the decision-making process by implementing construction oversight and inspection to assess the performance, quality and progress of the Stage 2 LRT project construction works. 
 

You also: perform a key role in site coordination and communication; ensure compliance with all construction contract requirements; interface with contractors, consultants and external stakeholders; monitor, track and report on project status; perform site visits and prepare daily field inspection reports; review submittals and payment requests; and actively work to resolve issues in the field wherever possible, and escalate to management when needed.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Completion of 4 year university degree in a relevant engineering discipline or applied science from an accredited university
 

Minimum of 3 years of relevant field experience on construction projects.
 

Experience on light rail construction projects is desirable

JOB SUMMARY

The mandate of Information Technology Services is to create business value by providing innovative and strategic technology solutions for the business operations of the City of Ottawa.

The Senior IT Business Analyst serves as the primary interface between ITS and clients and manages that relationship. The job is also responsible for providing strategic business analysis of new or changing client requirements, including leveraging the use of current City IT applications or other solutions, and identifying and maximizing other resource efficiencies for ITS. The Senior IT Business Analyst is additionally responsible for scoping, managing, or undertaking small-scale client projects.
In addition to core responsibilities, a comprehensive understanding of enterprise asset management processes is essential. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in Maximo/MAS Manage to optimize its performance within our operational framework. You will collaborate with stakeholders to align asset management solutions with business objectives, ensuring efficient data flows and system integrations. Your responsibilities will include configuring modules, defining workflows, and designing automated data mapping processes to facilitate seamless data exchange between Maximo/MAS Manage and other enterprise applications. Additionally, you will coordinate and support user training and user acceptance testing (UAT), ensuring that stakeholders are equipped to use the system effectively and that solutions meet business needs before deployment.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Completion of 4 year university degree in business administration, computer science, engineering or other related field

Minimum of 5 years of experience in business applications and systems analysis

Knowledge of, and experience with, the City’s IT infrastructure and business applications is desirable

JOB SUMMARY

The mandate of Long Term Care Services is to provide resident care based on the needs of individuals, as determined by medical, nursing, functional and psychosocial assessments, and on each resident’s expressed needs. The care provided in each Home includes specialized, restorative, supportive and palliative care for persons with dementia, disabilities and health problems who cannot live independently in their homes, and whose needs cannot be met in the community.

You are responsible for the delivery of quality, holistic, resident care through the administration and supervision of the Nursing Program and staff in a designated area, with an emphasis on resident safety and engagement.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Completion of 4 year university degree in Nursing (BScN)

Minimum of 1 to 2 years of related experience, preferably in a geriatric-gerontology or long term care setting

Post-basic preparation in gerontology is desirable

Membership in Registered Nurses Association of Ontario (RNAO) is desirable

Canadian Gerontological Certification from Canadian Nurses’ Association is desirable
