Loads and unloads UPS packages into trailers or package cars.

Other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:
Ability to lift up to 70 lbs./32 kgs.
Ability to read and memorize postal codes
Availability to work flexible shift hours, 5 days per week
Hours will vary based on the volumes.
Warehouse experience - Preferred

Reporting to the Director of Care, the RPN will enhance the effective management and quality of nursing practice

in keeping with the Standards of the College of Nurses of Ontario, Long Term Care Standards and Extendicare

Standards.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensure resident care is provide with established nursing standards and principles, physicians’ orders and

administrative policies, as well as, observe, report and record vital signs, symptoms and conditions of

residents, and initiate remedial health measures where appropriate. Assure observance of required

techniques in nursing care.

• Assess residents and develop, implement, review and evaluate resident care plans. Monitor residents’

health, notes changes in condition and assess need for referral to doctors; processes and implement

physician orders.

• Organize and direct functions and activities related to provision of care to residents including restorative

care and palliative care as required. Interprets and implements established policies, procedures, and

regulations.

• Plan, direct, supervise and evaluate the work of nursing and personal care staff assigned to the unit.

Orient and train new personnel and may participate in in-service education. Monitor performance and

conduct performance appraisal and refers problems to the Director of Care.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

• Appropriate current certificate of competence from the College of Nurses of Ontario required.

• Registration or eligible for registration with the Registered Practical Nurses Association of Ontario.

• Comprehensive knowledge of nursing and health care practices, as well as knowledge in Infection Control

Practices.

• Effective human relation skills and demonstrated commitment to working with seniors.

• Effective communication skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively are essential.

  • Provides up to date information on customer inquires both over the phone and in person at the front desk, ensuring a professional and friendly manner at all times.
  • Educates on facility rules/by-laws, trouble shoots with customers, ensuring adherence to City rules and regulations.
  • Follows and adhere to all Divisional Cash Handling policies/procedures, including building-site specific procedures and inventory controls.
  • Responsible for the preparation of the end of shift/day Daily Facility Reports items
  • Ensures a clean environment at all times by performing cleaning duties such as mopping, sweeping, trash collection, and disinfecting
  • Assists with heavy cleaning such as stripping and waxing floors
  • Assists with set up and tear downs for programs and rentals
  • Ensures a safe environment at all times by clearing snow, enforcing rules, performing safety checks and reporting any safety concerns.
  • Completes painting and special projects as identified by full time staff
  • Checks functions in the facility and reports any issues to the full time operations staff
  • Responsible for Opening and Closing procedures for the facility
  • Conducts Building Inspections (Entrance logs, Weekly Fire Inspections, AED inspections, First aid kit inspections, Emergency Systems inspections (Generator)  
  • Assist with Workplace inspections (JHSC) & QMS monthly inspections.
  • Monitor and Submit service requests (FPM) & Notify superiors. 
  • Maintains Internal bookings through our internal calendars
  • Operational Troubleshoot (Reset Electrical breakers, Av Troubleshoot, BAS Controls)
  • Access to view and print ACTIVE net (internal software) for external rentals
  • Being a liaison with the various internal/external stakeholders

Skills and Qualifications

  • Emergency First Aid/CPR B certification
  • WHMIS certification
  • The successful candidate should possess strong interpersonal and communication skills for working in a multi-tasking customer service environment
  • Computer experience in Outlook, Word, Excel and Registration software, along with experiences in cash handling are deemed an asset
  • Previous experience and the ability to do physical work in a variety of climatic conditions

Job Summary: As a member of the BGIS SCS Team, you will be generally responsible for heavy duty cleaning in a designated zone with an emphasis on quality control, health and safety & striving to exceed client expectations.

Key Responsibilities: Functioning as a core member of the operational team and reporting to the Manager/ Supervisor the Heavy Duty Cleaner will:

  • Clean floors by sweeping, scrubbing, or vacuuming
  • Dry/wet mop (wash/scrub) and polish hard surface floors. (The washing/scrubbing of floors is done with hand held or walk behind buffing machines. In large open applications, automatic equipment may be used to perform these functions) 
  • Strip and finish hard surface floors manually or with power equipment when required 
  • Transport garbage from drop points to garbage bins or compactor 
  • Transport maintenance machinery, where necessary, between floors and job sites 
  • Cleans and stores equipment and machinery used
  • Cleans glass areas requiring ladders, scaffolding or other extension equipment to reach. 
  • Cleans washroom floors including stripping and finishing 
  • Cleans stairwells and elevator cabs where ladders are required 
  • Loads and unloads supplies and replenishes cleaning solutions
  • Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment to prevent damage to floors and fixtures
  • Other duties that management may assign 
  • Notify managers concerning the need for major repairs or additions to building operating systems
  • Mix water and detergents or acids in containers to prepare cleaning solutions, according to specifications
  • Strip, seal, finish, and polish floors
  • Steam clean or shampoo carpets
  • Remove snow and debris from sidewalks, driveways, or parking areas, using snowplows, snow blowers, or snow shovels, or spread snow melting chemicals.

 

Job Requirements:

  • Experience in performing various cleaning, housekeeping and maintenance activities in an institutionalized environment.
  • Experience in using floor maintenance machines, cleaning equipment, materials and solutions.
  •  Knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act and the provisions that apply to this work including WHMIS.
  • Ability to lift, push and pull heavy items as well as climb ladders.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to maintain cooperative working relationships with staff, clients and the general public.
  • Ability and willingness to work weekends, holidays and shifts as assigned as well as work in multiple locations.
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions, prepare and maintain manual and electronic records.

As a Client Service Representative, whether it’s answering questions, assisting with transactions, or proactively connecting clients with the right team members, you’ll be the first line of support as clients work towards their financial goals. You’re flexible to work our banking centre hours which may include evenings and weekends. To help deliver a great client experience, you’re flexible to work at multiple banking centres within a reasonable travel distance.

  • Client engagement - Help clients manage their accounts and products. Focus on the client experience and make interactions meaningful. Connect clients to the right CIBC team members who can help them reach their goals.
  • Problem solving - Listen, ask questions, and put yourself in the client’s shoes. Act like an owner by taking accountability for client issues, and know when to lean on others to create a better solution together.
  • Leveraging technology - Become a technology expert. Share your knowledge by introducing clients to our mobile banking applications, helping them to better manage their banking needs.
