Overview of the role:
Reporting to the Plant Manager, and a key member of the leadership team, the Maintenance Manager is responsible for the safe, efficient and cost-effective operation of the maintenance department. The Maintenance Manager provides leadership for the maintenance department and is responsible for the overall maintenance of mechanical, electrical, computer-aided and plumbing technologies used to manufacture, package, store and ship products at the Brandon Plant.

How you will make contributions that matter:

Provide leadership, coaching and mentorship to the maintenance leadership team through pro-active communications, employee involvement, participation, individual feedback and appraisal;

Develop appropriate schedules, manpower and material requirements;

Manage the processes and secure the resources to ensure availability of the appropriate tools;

Maintain knowledge in mechanical and electrical trades, refrigeration, sanitation, storage equipment and machines;

Maintain a high standard of sanitation, housekeeping and cleanliness;

Maintain in good repair all production, packaging, storage, shipping and material handling equipment and machines as well as the physical plant;

Ensure that all work is performed safely, while following OH&S, WCB and Company regulations and procedures
You are best suited for the role if you have the following qualifications:

Engineering Degree or Journeyman ticket an asset;

5 years of experience in a supervisory or management role;

Experience in a Preventive Maintenance Program, knowledge of SAP software would be an asset;

Experience in Parts Inventory, Cost Control and Sourcing Parts;
-
Experience in Managing budget;
-
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office packages;

Knowledge and experience in SAP & Kronos are an asset;

Previous experience with C.I. tools with the ability to analyze, improve processes to reduce cost and improve quality;

- Manage backroom by organizing stock (product); identifying, monitoring, and reporting inventory levels; evaluating and processing damaged product; re-packing product; organizing backroom materials (i.e., pallets, product shells etc.); completing any required paperwork
- Follow all Coke Canada Bottling and Store policies regarding backroom, display floor, replenishment, equipment, and safety
- Maintain an orderly and clean work area in compliance with Company safety and sanitation requirements.
- Maintain professional relationships with co-workers and customers.
- Ability to push and pull manual and powered equipment (i.e. pallet jack, hand-truck etc.) containing product loads for a minimum of 100 yards without assistance
- Ability to repetitively grasp and manipulate objects of varying size and weight requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time
Qualifications
- Must be 17 years of age
- Minimum one (1) year experience working in grocery, retail, warehousing or related field preferred
- Experience working with manual or powered pallet jacks preferred
- Minimum one (1) year experience working under little to no supervision preferred
- Must have a personal vehicle for use during working hours
- Must have current vehicle liability insurance
- A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record with no major violations over the last three (3) years

The Safety Coordinator is responsible for providing support and expertise in environment, health and safety related matters to the Coca-Cola facility and operations. This includes driving a positive safety culture, developing programs and best practices, and ensuring compliance to regulations, site specific and corporate requirements, and maintaining conformance with Coca-Cola Kore/ISO 14001/45001 certification. This role requires a person who is comfortable on the shop floor, presenting in large groups, and performing detailed/administrative tasks on the computer.
Responsibilities
- Develop, coordinate, and perform training activities. This includes weekly new employee EHS orientation.
- Coordinate and administer the safety/incident investigation review committee (IRC/SIRC) meetings and reporting.
- Perform audits/inspections and monitor compliance.
- Provide subject matter knowledge to department managers/supervisors to support the identification of EHS gaps and improvement opportunities and assist in development, implementation and monitoring of actions.
- Accurately develop various reports on EHS performance (weekly, monthly, quarterly) containing both leading and lagging indicators.
- Develop/support/participate in EHS program development and implementation.
- Maintain and update EHS Bulletin boards, SDS binders & Source Intelligence, spills kits, hazard report boxes, and first aid room/kits.
- Review and update documents, communication, and forms.
- Participate in local management & corporate QHSE related activities.
Qualifications
- 2-3 years Environment, Health and Safety experience preferably in a unionized manufacturing/warehouse/distribution work environment.
- Experience with ISO 14001/45001 certification process and audits.
- Knowledge of Federal, Provincial and Local regulations on Workplace Health & Safety, Transportation and Worker Compensation.
- Ability to influence others such as managers/supervisors/employees.
- Proficient in MS excel, word, power point and other online based tools.
- Ability to function effectively in a fast-paced work environment and remain organized.
- Ability to work collaboratively with others on initiatives and projects to ensure sustainable outcomes.
- Able to facilitate effective meetings, training sessions, and workshops.
