Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Performs maintenance and overhauls bus engines, transmissions, differentials, brakes, suspension, steering, HVAC and all auxiliary equipment, including electrical components.
  • Assists in determining and ordering parts and materials necessary for repair of equipment.
  • Diagnoses mechanical and electrical defects.
  • Performs Highway Traffic Board safety inspections and related repairs.
  • Performs related duties as required.

Key Qualifications

  • Considerable knowledge of the practices, methods, tools and equipment used in the overhauling, repair and maintenance of heavy duty and automotive equipment.
  • Ability to follow written and oral instructions.
  • Ability to read and understand mechanical and electrical drawings and manuals.
  • Ability to prepare concise reports related to all work performed.
  • Ability to maintain co-operative and harmonious working relations with other employees.
  • Demonstrated skill in diagnosing mechanical defects on a variety of equipment.
  • Typically, the knowledge, skills and abilities required for this position are obtained through completion of a Journeyperson Certificate in Truck and Transport Trade, Heavy Duty Mechanics, Agriculture Machinery Technician or Automotive Service Technician, combined with a minimum of two (2) years of experience in truck and transport mechanical repair including training and experience in the heavy-duty automatic transmission and automotive electrical fields. Training and experience in Allison Automatic and ZF Transmissions, Automotive Electrical systems, and Cummins diesel engines is preferred.

  • Newly built Facility in 2020: At 60,000 square feet, the facility includes both 40- and 60- foot full-service and repair bays with hoists and built to environmental and sustainability standards. New tools and equipment are available for use.
  • We offer education reimbursement, such as Supplemental Unemployment Benefit (SUB) program to assist with the financial burden of training, up to 95% of normal weekly earnings. 
  • This position is responsible for performing highly skilled journeyperson mechanic duties in the Transit Fleet Maintenance Branch.  This position reports to the Supervisor of Maintenance and Equipment.

  • Successful candidate may be required to obtain and provide a satisfactory criminal record check, as per the City of Regina's Criminal Record Check Policy.

  • Successful candidate will be required to provide proof of acquired education.

This position consists of general tree maintenance. The typical duties in Forestry include tree pruning, tree removals, chipping and stumping. In most cases, shop and equipment maintenance tasks will also be assigned.

 

Education & Experience:

  • Experience using chainsaws and pruning saws
  • Aerial truck operations and brush chipper experience
  • Valid 1A or 3A license and ISA Certification is considered an asset but not a requirement

Typical duties include extensive shoveling soil or other material, repairs or replacement to irrigation lines, valves, sprinkler and fitting, operate and maintain City vehicles, specialized equipment and tools related to irrigation, and assist in overhauling specialized irrigation components including pumping equipment, control equipment, meters and sprinklers.

Position Summary

 

Are you a strategic thinker with a passion for facility and property management? The City of Regina is seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to lead the operations of our major sport and recreation facilities, along with other City-owned buildings. In this role, you will provide leadership to supervisory staff, manage facility issues, and assist in overseeing the City’s real estate portfolio.

Reporting to the Manager of Facilities Operations, this position plays a key role in ensuring our facilities are safe, functional, and serve the community effectively.

 

Key Duties & Responsibilities

 

  • Lead the operation and development of a diverse portfolio of sport and recreation facilities.
  • Provide strategic direction and project oversight for facility management initiatives.
  • Assist in coordinating property management activities, including tenant relations, contractor management, and space evaluation.
  • Develop and implement policies, procedures, and business processes related to facility operations.
  • Assist in preparing and managing capital budgets.
  • Assist in overseeing facility security programs to safeguard buildings, assets, and personnel.
  • Oversee client service contracts for all City facilities.
  • Develop and maintain emergency response and life safety plans for civic buildings.
  • Inspect City facilities and manage maintenance, repairs, and renovation documentation.
  • Support staff supervision through coaching, performance management, and development.

Key Qualifications

 

  • Typically, the knowledge, skills and abilities required for this position are obtained through successful completion of a university degree in Engineering or Business Administration with coursework in recreation and facility management coupled with 3–5 years of experience in facility/property design, operations, and maintenance.
  • Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience.
  • Designation as a Facility Management Administrator (FMA) or Certified Facility Manager (CFM) is an asset.

We are seeking a casual security guard for the Yorkton, SK area

If you don’t currently hold a valid security guard license or certificate, we will pay for your training and guide you through every step of the process of obtaining your full security license.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Observes and reports activities and incidents at an assigned client site, providing for the security and safety of client property, assets, and personnel.
  • Operates an onsite utility vehicle to conduct extensive patrols to check for irregularities and to inspect protection devices and fire control equipment.
  • Preserves order and may act to enforce regulations and directives for the site pertaining to personnel, visitors, and premises.
  • Controls access to client site or facility through the admittance process.
  • Patrols assigned site on foot or in vehicle; checks for unsafe conditions, hazards, unlocked doors, security violations, blocked entrances and exits, mechanical problems, and unauthorized persons.
  • Satisfies client needs by providing excellent customer service while minimizing risk to the client property and assets.
  • Monitors intrusion detection systems using automated alarm and video monitoring software.
  • Uses computer systems and software to monitor sites and complete basic trainings.
  • Protects evidence or scene of incident in the event of accidents, emergencies, or security investigations.

 

QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • Valid provincial Security Guard Certificate or License (preferred)
  • Full class 5 driver’s license 
  • Flexible open working schedule
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 25 kg.
  • Working knowledge of security operations and procedures
  • Reliable means of transportation
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Able to write routine correspondence, including logs and reports
  • Basic computer skills such as the ability to use Microsoft Office.
  • Able to walk, stand, and conduct patrols
  • Must have excellent customer service and communication skills
  • First Aid/ CPR is considered an asset

Overview of the role :

This is a part time posting.  The position is responsible for the picking, shipping and receiving in the Warehouse.  Load co-ordination, report reproduction and report maintenance are also part of the regular duties.  The position reports to the Warehouse Supervisor.

 

Schedule: Saturday & Sundays either Days or Evening shift. Occasionally Monday - Friday in the evenings. Schedules are planned 2 weeks in advance but are subject to change.
