Responsibilities

As an Arrow Driver for our Quesnel Fibre Division, you will be Home Everyday!  Our Professional Drivers haul wood fibre locally in B train trailers. Wood fibre is mainly comprised of wood chips, but we also haul sawdust and hog fuel. You will travel on various highways in and around Quesnel and Northern BC.

 

  • Oversee cargo handling and secure loads, including equipment preparation, application of safe practices, compliance with applicable Acts and Regulations.
  • Perform pre and post and en route trip inspections on equipment operated, ensuring safety, road-worthiness and regulatory compliance.
  • Comply with applicable legislation including safe operation, load securement, driver's hours of service, occupational health and safety, transportation of dangerous goods, and weights and dimensions.

Responsibilities

The Heavy Equipment Operator is responsible for safely operating loaders, excavators, and other heavy machinery to manage the handling and flow of bulk mineral concentrates—primarily copper, gold, and ore—within the terminal. This includes pushing product into designated storage areas, maintaining pit and tipper areas, supporting efficient vessel loading operations by pushing product from the warehouse floor into a designated loading pit (or hopper), which feeds a conveyer belt system used to load ocean-going vessels docked at the port. Operators also maintain safe and efficient conditions in and around the tipping area, storage zones, and loading infrastructure, while supporting ongoing site maintenance.


Major Responsibilities

  • Operate heavy equipment (e.g., loaders, excavators) to move, level, and stockpile copper/gold concentrate and ore within the warehouse and yard.
  • Push product into designated storage areas in the warehouses.
  • Push product into the loading pit/hopper, which feeds the ship-loading conveyer belt system, ensuring consistent material flow during vessel loading.
  • Maintain clean and safe conditions around the pit, tipper, and warehouse, removing any excess or spilled material that could interfere with operations.
  • Monitor material flow into the chute/conveyer belt during vessel loading and communicate with the Port Foreman to coordinate timing and volumes.
  • Communicate clearly with truck drivers and other team members to coordinate safe and efficient product movement.
  • Perform snow removal as needed to maintain safe access throughout the terminal.
  • Perform routine inspections and light maintenance on equipment; report any mechanical issues to maintenance staff.
  • Comply with all terminal safety procedures, environmental regulations, and reporting protocols.
  • Participate in safety meetings, toolbox talks, and training as required.
  • Cross-train in other operational tasks and assist during vessel loading or shutdown periods.
  • Other duties as assigned by Port Foreman or Division Manager.

You Possess

  • Valid Heavy Equipment Operator Certificate is an asset
  • Previous experience operating heavy mobile equipment (Cat 980 or equivalent Front End Loader and Cat D6 or equivalent Dozer experience).
  • Minimum 2,000 hours of loader and/or excavator operation in an industrial, mining, or bulk material handling environment.
  • Experience working in a port, terminal, mining, or bulk commodity setting is considered a strong asset.
  • Familiarity with equipment maintenance procedures; mechanical aptitude (welder, mechanic, or machinist experience) is a bonus but not required.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform routine equipment inspections and minor preventative maintenance.
  • A strong safety mindset and commitment to maintaining a hazard-free work environment.
  • Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions, including rain, snow, wind, and sub-zero temperatures.

Purpose of Role:
The Implementations Consultant is a key customer facing role where you will use a wide variety of business analysis techniques to solicit and unearth requirements and lead the design of Aquarius, our software implementation, with customers. Through the system configuration process, you are collaborating with the technical implementation team to ensure that the final delivered solution meets quality standards and customer expectations. You are responsible for delivering a high-quality training program to meet customers' needs leveraging LMS as well as custom training to ensure that the customer has the required knowledge to move their solution into operations.

 

What you will be doing:

  • Work with Application Development Managers, Project Managers and Software Configuration Analysts to scope and prepare technical solutions for Statements of Work pre-sale.

  • Document project work in project management tracking system.

 

Business Analysis

  • Work with Project Managers, ADMs, and customers to understand Statement of Work and project scope and requirements.
  • Engage with customers that have purchased Aquatic Informatics’ professional services (Configuration, integrations, migrations, requests for custom development etc.). This may include:
    • Accurately and completely documenting the as-is and to-be states of the customer’s workflows, data, functional and non-functional requirements.
    • Facilitating discovery workshops with customers and/or internal team members in order to capture requirements and use cases.
    • Developing proposals for complex solutions based on best practices and professional knowledge of environmental water data and/or water/wastewater process flows.
    • Formally documenting findings and presenting proposed solutions to clients.
    • Formally documenting solution and creation of project artifacts detailing the technical implementation of the solution.
    • Creating supporting documentation for the project as required.
    • Upon completion of deliverables, verify software functionality and ensure it meets Statement of Work and customer expectations within project scope.

Training

  • Develop high quality custom training sessions for unique customer workflows and solutions.
  • Train customers at project close via remote and/or on-site training sessions.

 

The essential requirements of the job include:  

  • At least 3 years of experience working with Aquarius.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent work experience in software data-analysis/configuration and implementation.
  • Travel up to 25%, more frequent travel may be offered depending on availability and willingness.

Your Responsibilities

 

Daily Cash Management North America

  • Reconciliation of daily cash positions against actual results and manage the resolution of any discrepancies
  • Analyze cash positions of all cash pools to determine funding needs and initiate cross funding
  • Manage cash through the co-ordination of information related to receipts, disbursements and bank position reporting
  • Strive to maintain minimal cash float balances
  • Ensure proper reporting & management of standalone cash balances

 

Cash Forecasting

  • Support cash forecasting processes and perform variance analysis
  • Continuously improve forecasting compliance & accuracy
  • Communicate with operating groups and divisions to understand all daily cash flows

 

Reporting

  • Produce monthly Global Cash Review
  • Perform monthly financial reporting and analysis related to global cash and bank indebtedness
  • Review daily cash reporting in Power BI for accuracy of reported balances, investments and borrowings
  • Review and understand reported changes in balances, investments and borrowings

 

Other

  • Assist in Treasury related projects as assigned
  • Explore new technology and reporting tools for Treasury

 

Who we are looking for

  • Completion of a university degree in business or finance
  • Accounting designation is an asset
  • Post graduate qualifications are desirable but not required
  • Requires the knowledge & ability to conduct advanced analysis
  • Experience and proficiency with MS Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) is essential
  • Knowledge and experience with OneStream is an asset
  • PowerBI and Treasury Management Systems is an asset

 

Your preferred qualifications

How you will make contributions that matter:

  • Carries out preventative maintenance on assigned equipment.
  • Trouble shoots and repairs equipment in breakdown situations to ensure production efficiencies are achieved.

You are best suited for the role if you have the following qualifications:

  • Professional Certificate of Industrial Maintenance (Ex. 442A Certificate of Qualification) or Equivalent 
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in an industrial/manufacturing setting, equipment repairs, welding experience is a must
  • Minimum 1 year of experience related to food industry, preferably dairy, or high-speed process equipment or packaging experience
  • Pneumatics and hydraulics knowledge
  • Boiler, refrigeration, and air handling systems experience is an asset
  • Able to read Blueprint, must be able to trouble shoot, and have analytical skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimum supervision
  • High level of self-motivation and initiative
  • Dependable with a good attendance and safety record
  • Strong written and oral communication skills in English
  • Ability to support all shifts (days and afternoons), incl. weekends and overtime, and/or being on call.
