Main Responsibilities

·       Lead engineering operations as outlined in CN’s operating plan

·       Supervise and lead activities of track gangs, track employees, and hi-rail operations

·       Lead people with clear direction and goals while providing coaching and guidance to employees through regular performance monitoring

·       Ensure clear communication of track condition and daily production information to senior management in order to adjust

Working Conditions

The role will be partially performed in an office environment and outdoors in various types of weather and environmental conditions with irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays. The role requires regular travel (up to 50%) across their assigned territory at times without advance notice. Due to the nature of the role, the incumbent must be able to meet tight deadlines, handle pressure and stress. The position requires responding to unexpected and emergency situations, and being able to lift up to 70 lbs.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain an orderly and clean work area in compliance with Company safety and sanitation requirements.    
  • Maintain professional relationships with co-workers and customers.
  • Ability to push and pull manual and powered equipment (i.e. pallet jack, hand-truck etc.) containing product loads for a minimum of 100 yards without assistance.
  • Ability to repetitively grasp and manipulate objects of varying size and weight requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
  • Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time.

Qualifications

  • Must have a personal vehicle for use during working hours.
  • Must have current vehicle liability insurance.

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English or French Language

Experience: Candidates should have experience of 7 months to less than 1 year
Own tools/equipment: Uniform, Tools

Shifts: Day, Evening, Flexible Hours, Early Morning, Morning
Transportation information: Own transportation, Valid driver’s licence

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be capable of lifting up to 9 kg (20 lbs), meeting the physical demands of the role
  • The candidates should be able to work under pressure, maintaining composure and efficiency in challenging situations
  • The candidates should adhere to our smoke-free workplace policy by being non-smoking

Candidate Status:

  • Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
  • Candidate must have legal authorized (Work Permit) to work in Canada

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to excel in various cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, washing, and polishing floors for a consistently clean and polished appearance
  • The candidates should be able to demonstrate proficiency in thorough dusting of furniture and precise vacuuming of carpets, area rugs, draperies, and upholstered furniture
  • The candidates should be able to showcase bed-making proficiency, ensuring cleanliness by changing sheets and efficiently stocking linen closets for guest satisfaction
  • The candidates should be able to handle diverse responsibilities such as disinfecting and polishing fixtures, following hygiene protocols, addressing guest needs, maintaining a tidy environment, and providing assistance with empathy and respect
