The RBC Dominion Securities branch located in Winnipeg is seeking an Associate to provide administrative support to a dynamic Advisory Team. You will provide quality client service and help deepen relationships with existing clients through ongoing, efficient support to both clients and the Advisor Team.

What will you do?

  • Coordinate and prepare meetings for Advisors with their clients/prospects.
  • Provide proactive client service with a focus on problem resolution and attention to details. Liaise with various departments for execution, where necessary.
  • Respond to client inquiries (account transactions, requests for tax receipts, account reporting, etc.).
  • Assist the Advisor team with client onboarding.
  • Maintain existing client accounts and identify opportunities to contact clients: manage timelines and key dates for accounts
  • Ensure accurate and timely updates of all necessary documentation in compliance with internal controls and industry regulatory requirements. Maintain complete and up-to-date client files within appropriate systems.
  • Follow up on client trades to ensure proper settlement and delivery
  • Support Advisor team and client through the Wealth Management process and maintain audit of Wealth Management Activities and priorities.

  • Canadian Securities Course (CSC) and Conduct and Practices Handbook Course (CPH)
  • Strong Microsoft Office Suite skills
  • High level of time management and organization skills

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in English

 

Nice-to-have

  • Knowledge of RBC Dominion Securities’ systems and procedures

What you’ll do:   

  • Installation of Rogers Ignite products and services including internet, home phone, TV/streaming and smart home monitoring.

In this challenging role you will be a member of a team working in a high production environment performing preventative maintenance to locomotives. The starting Diesel Mechanic rate is $45.24 per hour with a $15,000 signing bonus. The Diesel Mechanic classification will be determined by experience and current shop mix.

POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Maintain, inspect, service, test and repairs all systems on locomotives, mobile equipment and vehicles used in plant, yard and road service
  • Services locomotive cabs which include cleaning/washing cab walls, windows, floors and servicing of locomotive toilets compartment and toilets
  • Make the evaluation of parts for reuse, repair or replacement
  • Work to blueprints, schematic drawings, service manual and other like information. Adapts to new methods, processes, material and equipment

As a Dock Supervisor you will be responsible for the supervision of overall dock operations, including day-to-day processes and procedures, to ensure safety and optimal dock performance. 

How You’ll Help: 

  • Provide daily guidance and motivation to Dock Workers (employees and agency workers) to ensure achievement of operational objectives for the terminal. 
  • Escalates issues of individual poor performance, inappropriate behavior, absenteeism, etc. to the Operations Manager.

  • Ensure the AM schedule for the terminal is followed.  
  • Works with the Operations Manager to track monthly performance stats for the dock  
  • Supervise a group of Dock Workers, both employee and contractor/agency, directly and indirectly through Lead Hands. 
  • Other duties related to dock operations as may be required. 

Your Skills and Experience: 

  • Post-secondary education, preferably in operations, logistics, or business 
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered 
  • Minimum of five years' experience in the transportation industry or warehousing industry, preferably dock operations 
  • Previous leadership experience and/or experience in the transportation industry are strong assets 
  • Strong leadership skills specifically the ability to motivate and drive engagement to achieve objectives, facilitate conflict resolution, and to provide training 
  • Advanced communication skills, particularly verbal 
  • Computer skills, including the use of MS Word, Excel & Outlook, and web-based programs as well as RF scanners.  Experience using AS400, a strong asset 
  • Strong interpersonal skills including customer focus

  • Appropriate sense of urgency

Physical Requirements:

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to perform moderate to heavy physical labor on an assigned area of track. This work involves tasks such as pulling track spikes, applying rail anchors, shoveling crushed rock, bending, and lifting up to 50 lbs on a regular basis, and performing repetitive tasks
  • The candidates should be able to prioritize an emphasis on safety, as it is critical for all employees working in this environment around heavy moving equipment
  • The candidates should be able to maintain focus at all times and demonstrate a willingness to work effectively in a team environment
  • The candidates should be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions, including rain, direct sunlight, and snow, as the work location is outdoors
  • The candidates should be able to be prepared for potential travel as part of the job. During travel, they will receive mileage reimbursement, hotel accommodations, meal expenses, and more
  • The candidates should be able to adapt to being away from home, as accommodations and meal allowances will be provided
  • The candidates should be able to understand that the work can be seasonal, and employees may experience lay-offs at the end of the work season. Re-employment will occur as needed, based on seniority order, for the next work season
