We are currently seeking a professional Account Manager for a full-time position with our client, a leader within the global financial technology space. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of Security Management experience, preferably in an Account Manager or Site Manager role. 

 

Title: Security Account Manager 

Shift: Monday - Friday, 9:00am - 5:00pm. Flexibility to be available for on-call shifts as needed.

Location: Spadina Ave. & Front St. W.

JOB SUMMARY: Manages the security services and related operations provided to an assigned account including client service and problem resolution, service enhancement and expansion, new business development, operational effectiveness, preparation of post orders, staffing, scheduling, supervision and training.

Distinguishing Characteristics:

Performs a variety of management functions for assigned account; may be assigned a rank, as defined by client contract. Does not perform Security Guard duties except on a limited, relief or emergency basis.

  • Meets regularly with client representatives for status updates; addresses any actual or potential problems; assists line management in negotiation of client contract; provides support during client start-up; supports security planning, assessments, and surveys; reviews and updates post orders.
  • Oversees, coordinates with line management, and participates in the recruitment, selection, orientation, training, development, and retention of high caliber staff; acts to ensure that each staff member is treated with dignity and respect; plans, assigns, and directs work; coach’s employees and carries out disciplinary actions, as necessary.
  • Assists in development and administration of budget in relation to assigned account.
  • Maintains a positive, professional environment in full compliance with applicable laws, regulations, policies, and procedures; acts to ensure that staff members understand and comply with applicable laws, regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Within scope of client contract and assigned duties, authorizes appropriate expenditures including equipment, supplies, and vehicles; acts to ensure that vehicles are properly maintained and administers driver training; acts to ensure that there is an adequate inventory of uniforms, radios, and other supplies and equipment; maintains and submits payroll records and other associate and business information.
  • Prepares and coordinates staffing schedules for account, in collaboration with line management as necessary; acts to ensure that scheduling is handled effectively to meet client requirements while controlling labor costs; reviews Security Guard site reports to verify post orders and client directives have been satisfactorily followed; personally, inspects all posts as part the evaluation of security staff.
  • Provides input to company initiatives; promptly assists in the resolution of legal, financial, human resources, and administrative issues.
  • Performs tasks and duties of a similar nature and scope as required for assigned account.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AT ENTRY

Additional qualifications may be specified and receive preference, depending upon the nature of the position.

MINIMUM HIRING STANDARDS

  • 3 years minimum of Security Management experience, preferably in a Security Account Manager or Site Manager role. 
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must have a reliable means of communication. 
  • Must have a reliable means of transportation (public or private).
  • Must have the ability to speak, read, and write English.
  • Must have a High School Diploma or GED. If not, must be willing to complete the GED program within six months.
  • Must be willing to participate in the Company’s pre-employment screening process.

  • If required for assigned accounts, must be able to meet and continue to meet any applicable licensing requirements for Security Guards.

The Preventative Maintenance Coordinator will act as the primary liaison person between maintenance and operations, while developing, coordinating, and monitoring preventative maintenance programs for the facility. Performance Expectations

  • Tracking and trending data to develop departmental metrics on percentage of work order completion; benchmarking; overtime; planned maintenance completed on time.
  • Tracking deferred maintenance plans and development to reduce the backlog.
  • Assist in planning of annual major shutdown activities, and weekend work as needed when production operations are not running and repairs or PM’s / TPM’s must be executed.

 

Credentials

 

Millwright 433A License Required or equivalent knowledge and experience.

Maintenance Software Knowledge (IFS an asset).

Credentials

· Minimum two years of previous related experience.

· Able to read schematic drawings in order to troubleshoot and repair equipment.

· Ability to troubleshoot and determine resolutions when encountering malfunctions in equipment.

· Knowledge of phone systems, network cabling, security systems, door access systems and video surveillance systems is an asset.

· Able to work rotating shifts and weekend work, as needed.

· Travel may be required between Guelph facilities.

 

Desired Characteristics

· Ability to work independently, in addition, work as part of a team that includes other tradespeople and professionals to install, repair and maintain electrical systems and equipment.

We are looking for a qualified Developer to work with the Notification Services team in Scotia Digital, who can deliver high quality code, write unit tests, provide UAT support, implementation, and operational support.


Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:

 

  • Lead development activities as the senior member of the scrum team, planning and executing to meet sprint objectives as well as program/project milestones.

  • Write well designed, testable, efficient code by using best software development practices.

  • Gather and refine specifications and requirements based on technical needs.

  • Collaborate with the Scrum team to plan milestones, successfully execute software delivery, and escalate issues as needed.

  • Ensure that requirements are clearly, accurately, and thoroughly documented and understood either for system changes and/or process changes and that there is value and consistency added to the customer experience by:

    • Providing contribution to design/review process

    • Monitoring/reviewing design during development phase.

  • Ensure the timely and accurate completion of projects through:

    • Production/Input to an overall Project Plan, strategy, and implementation

    • Procedural documents completed to support user (guidelines, job aids. etc.)

    • Input provided in preparation and execution of testing.

    • Conducting post implementation measurement review of projects.

  • Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.

  • Champion a high-performance environment and contributes to an inclusive work environment.

 

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? We'd love to work with you if you have:
 

  • University or College Degree in Computer Science

  • 6+ year experience in Java Springboot, developing enterprise, cloud native, message driven, test driven, reactive, containerized applications.

  • Previous experience in banking industry/financial services is preferred

  • MS Azure, containerization & orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker), Java 11 & 8, Springboot framework, Junit frameworks (Junit 5, Mockito), build tools and dependency management (Maven, Gradle), NoSQL database, template management (Velocity), CI-CD Pipeline (Jenkins)

  • version control tools, like Git, Bitbucket

  • well-rounded knowledge of Agile principles and the flexibility to adapt your experience to new and evolving environments

  • Familiar with software security tools like BlackDuck (vulnerabilities in JARs), Fortify (vulnerabilities/security issues in code), Webinspect (scan REST end points) and SonarQube (Junit coverage for code)

  • well-rounded knowledge different JAVA based framework/libs, such as Spring Boot, Spring Security, JDBC, Junit, Apache-Camel, Azure SDK

  • Strong knowledge of network communications (VPN, Firewall management, Load Balancers), security protocols (SSL), Authorization mechanism (OAuth, JWT) and trouble shooting

  • Hands on experience in developing applications with KAFKA, ActiveMQ/Azure Service Bus, RDBMS, NoSQL, Redis

  • Strong knowledge of programming languages: Java 8+, Unix Shell Script, XML, YAML, JSON, SQL, Apache Velocity, Apache Groovy

  • Strong hands-on programming skills with popular developer utility tool suites like Eclipse/STS, JIRA/Bitbucket/Confluence, Git, Gradle/Maven
