RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Observes and reports activities and incidents at an assigned client site, providing for the security and safety of client property, assets, and personnel.
• Operates an onsite utility vehicle to conduct extensive patrols to check for irregularities and to inspect protection devices and fire control equipment.
• Preserves order and may act to enforce regulations and directives for the site pertaining to personnel, visitors, and premises.
• Controls access to client site or facility through the admittance process.
• Patrols assigned site on foot or in vehicle; checks for unsafe conditions, hazards, unlocked doors, security violations, blocked entrances and exits, mechanical problems, and unauthorized persons.
• Satisfies client needs by providing excellent customer service while minimizing risk to the client property and assets.
• Monitors intrusion detection systems using automated alarm and video monitoring software.
• Uses computer systems and software to monitor sites and complete basic trainings.
• Protects evidence or scene of incident in the event of accidents, emergencies, or security investigations.

QUALIFICATIONS: 

• Valid provincial Security Guard Certificate or License (preferred)
• Full class 5 driver’s license 
• Flexible open working schedule
• Ability to lift and carry up to 25 kg.
• Working knowledge of security operations and procedures
• Reliable means of transportation
• Excellent organizational skills
• Able to write routine correspondence, including logs and reports
• Basic computer skills such as the ability to use Microsoft Office.
• Able to walk, stand, and conduct patrols
• Must have excellent customer service and communication skills
• First Aid/ CPR is considered an asset

• 10+ years of IT experience.

• 6 - 8+ years of experience of React.js and its core principles, and React ecosystem JSX of react components life cycle.
• 6 - 8+ years of experience with popular React.js workflows (such as Flux or Redux) and data structure libraries (e.g., Immutable.js)
• 5+ years of experience and Strong proficiency in JavaScript Fundamentals and newer specifications of EcmaScript (ES6+ ), including DOM manipulation and the JavaScript object model
• 2+ years’ experience (1 or 2 recent projects) on front end optimization techniques such as Lazy Loading, Asynchronous Module Definition, Callback and Promises, Closures, Image Compression
• 2+ year experience and good knowledge of NodeJS (Yarn) to NPM registry libraries/packages.
• Strong working experience building for mobile web (such as Mobile First, Responsive and PWA)
• Up to date knowledge of the React ecosystem including Hooks, Suspense, and familiar with functional based programming

Group Summary:

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Establish & maintain systems for managing P&F safety and environmental programs required by the Occupational Health & Safety act, Ministry of Environment and corporate standards, including:
• Identifies, Initiates, arranges and presents Employee safety & environmental training.
• Maintain certification to ISO-14001 and its successors in Canada.
• Review with Maintenance Manager annually safety/environment policies and procedures.
• Monitor operations, in close cooperation with the Maintenance/Facility Manager for compliance to all health, safety, environmental legislation, corporate requirements to satisfy requirements of ISO-14001 & Workwell requirements. Make recommendations to improve compliance to those standards.
• Review accident/incident investigation reports and ensure corrective action is completed (departments fill out actual accident reports).
• Coordinate activities (and effectiveness) of Health, Safety & Environmental committee.
• Coordinate activities (and effectiveness) of Ergonomic Committee.
• Identify and ensures communication on mandatory Personal Protection and regular review of requirements per area within P&F.

You are best suited for the role if you have the following qualifications:

• A degree/diploma in Health and Safety or equivalent work experience. Registered as Canadian registered safety professional (CRSP) is preferred.
• 2-3 years of Health and Safety experience in a medium to large organization.
• Possess a thorough understanding of Human and Organizational Performance, CSA standards and Ontario provincial regulations.
• Ability to travel to Ontario sites and work all shifts as required.
