Your Contribution
As a Receptionist, you will work in collaboration with the Administrative Team.
Your main responsibilities will be:
- Answer and direct phone calls and inquiries;
- Process lab samples;
- Open lab numbers;
- Distribute mail;
- Purolator / courier shipments;
- Ordering office supplies;
- Manage office supply inventory;
- Take payments from external clients;
- Direct and problem solve inquiries from staff;
- Booking travel – backup for region;
- Building support – maintenance, kitchen clean up/organization and maintaining vendor lists;
- Maintaining internal spreadsheets including – staff lists, cell phone lists etc.;
- Paper filing maintenance as needed;
- Scan documents for electronic filing;
- Maintain external Iron Mountain filing system;
- Printing/Binding as required; and
- Additional task as required that may not be mentioned here on an as-needed basis.
Your Profile
- Diploma in Office Administration considered is an asset;
- Bilingual capabilities considered an asset;
- Driver’s license required to do local office errands as required;
- Minimum of 2-years’ experience in an front desk role in an office environment required;
- Experience working in a similar capacity in a Consulting, Engineering, or Science firm would be an asset;
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills;
