The Collections Operations West team is responsible for supporting Canadian Blood Services by collecting plasma in a safe manner to enable safe products which save lives every day. In this role, you will be responsible for administrative support to all program activities and you will provide support in accordance with all regulations, standards and good manufacturing practice.

  • Drawing on your knowledge or experience in continuous improvement, you will contribute to the framework of continuous improvement and implementation of best practice standards with the team

Desired education and skills

  • Completion of accredited nursing program and current license in good standing to practice as a Registered Nurse in the province is required. 

  • 2 years of experience working as a nurse is considered an asset as is a certification in First Aid and CPR. 

  • Previous experience as a preceptor or with coaching others is an asset.

  • Applicants must be willing to travel and be available for Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Saturdays. Hours of work are based on a 52 week rotations. Start and stop time are as follows: 1145-1945, 0945-1745, 1100-1900, 1045-1800, 1045-1845, 1200-2000, 1000-1800, 1030-1830, 0845-1645.
  • Travel will be required for mobile events, and transportation will be provided by Canadian Blood Services.
  • Must be able to attend mandatory orientation and training in Vancouver. 
  • Physical requirements for the role include the ability to lift weights up to 10 kg (22 lbs.).
