98.1 CHFI Toronto has a rare and exciting opportunity for a Full Time Swing Announcer to host a show across one of the largest stations in Canada. We're looking for someone to entertain and inform the GTA audience with a feel good, compelling, and friendly presentation. If this is you, then we need to talk about your future! As our CHFI Swing Announcer you’ll be called upon to cover other shifts or provide voice tracking as necessary.
What you will do:
- Host, operate and produce live shows on 98.1 CHFI - Toronto with the possibility to host national shows
- Prepare on-brand, entertaining and demographic appropriate content for on-air and digital
- Manage and engage on social media platforms while on-air
- Be knowledgeable of GTA events as they relate to the station audience
- Voice track or cover other shifts as necessary
- Perform commercial narration for production purposes as required
- Other music duties assigned by the Content Director

How You’ll Help
- Creating routes/load plans that take all business requirements into consideration [customer experience, operational efficiencies & increased cost savings for the company and our driver/broker community.
- Review route/load plan within system and initiate adjustments to the plan as required, inclusive of appointment freight.

Your Skills and Experience

- Strong communication skills in both English and French
- Advanced computer skills as well as experience with MS Office products and web based programs. Previous experience with Truckmate and Bringg is an asset

- Be involved in the full life cycle of a project, responsible for producing actionable and complete specifications, writing production quality code, and implementation
- Design, deliver and implement a database schema
- Design test sets and automate where possible, including functional and non functional testing, regression testing as well as performance testing
- Write deployment scripts and leverage tools such as the Accelerator pipeline to promote code.
- Support the solution in production
- Improve the end user experience by finding scalable solutions and addressing complex ad hoc queries.
- Effectively communicate with technical and non-technical audiences
- Able to work with and refactor legacy code (as needed).
- Coach and train end users (as needed).
- Participate and run SCRUM Meetings (as needed).
Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? We’d love to work with you if you have:
- Experience with 2 or more modern development languages (Python, Java, etc.)
- 4+ years’ experience developing, deploying, and maintaining large scale applications with complex integration.
- Recent experience with relational and non relational databases.
- 2 + years’ experience reading, writing, and running SQL scripts.
- Experience working in an Agile environment, with experience and understanding of Test-Driven Development methodology.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering or relevant experience.
