Responsibilities

  • Maintain and replenish products in store racks, shelves, displays, and coolers by transporting product between backroom/storage room to front-of-store with manual or powered equipment (pallet jack, hand-truck)
  • Build, change or remove product displays while adhering to company standards; maintaining product signage; cleaning product space and securing damaged or defective product.
  • Follow all Coke Canada Bottling and Store policies regarding backroom, display floor, replenishment, equipment, and safety
  • Manage backroom by organizing stock (product); identifying, monitoring, and reporting inventory levels; evaluating and processing damaged product; re-packing product; organizing backroom materials (i.e., pallets, product shells etc.); completing any required paperwork
  • Maintain an orderly and clean work area in compliance with Company safety and sanitation requirements
  • Maintain professional relationships with co-workers and customers
  • Physical Requirements:
    • Repetitively lift, carry and position product (weight up to 50lbs or 22kgs) above shoulder height without assistance
    • Consistent kneeling, squatting and reaching above the head
    • Ability to push and pull manual and powered equipment (i.e. pallet jack, hand-truck etc.) containing product loads for a minimum of 100 yards without assistance
    • Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time

Qualifications

  • Minimum one (1) year experience working in grocery, retail, warehousing or related field preferred
  • Experience working with manual or powered pallet jacks preferred
  • Minimum one (1) year experience working under little to no supervision preferred
  • Must have a personal vehicle for use during working hours

Primary Accountabilities

 

Under the general supervision of the Fleet Service Coordinator, the Mechanic II diagnoses equipment failure, repairs, rebuilds and adjusts a variety of government mobile machinery and equipment used to perform road maintenance activities for both summer and winter operations. You will use specialized tools and equipment located at a government facility designed and equipped for mechanical work, assist with field repairs as required, and other related duties as required to complete equipment repairs, modifications and/or preventative maintenance.

 

Qualifications and Experience

 

You have completed high school and have a Provincial Certificate of Qualification in the Truck and Transport Trade plus five (5) years of diversified mechanical experience.

Upon hire, applicants will be required to successfully complete Nova Scotia Motor Vehicle Inspection (MVI) training as part of their probationary requirements.

A valid Nova Scotia driver's license with Air Brakes and acceptable driving record is required.

A Provincial Certificate of Qualification in Heavy Duty Equipment and Air Conditioning Certification are desirable. Knowledge of computer controlled diagnostic technology and computer competency are considered assets. Successful completion of training and knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act, First Aid and WHMIS are further assets to be considered.

You consistently demonstrate initiative in your role; remaining up to date in changes to equipment, methods and technology within the mechanical field. Your exceptional communication skills will assist you when working with staff to help diagnose and resolve equipment issues. You are a self-motivated individual who works both independently with minimal supervision and participates fully as an effective team player. You consistently maintain a professional and courteous disposition and hold a high standard for clients.

About the Opportunity 

  • Assists residents with hygiene and daily living activities, such as: bathing, dressing, oral care, skin care, meals, and mobilizing according to the work assignment; 
  • Collaborates with the resident and other members of the interdisciplinary team in the development of individualized Resident Care Plan; 
  • Assists in the planning and implementation of resident leisure activities on a daily basis; 
  • Assists with light housekeeping duties; 
  • Performs delegated nursing acts according to company policy and scope of practice; 
  • Communicates and reports relevant information regarding resident care or safety to Supervisor. 

 

About You 

  • You have a valid Continuing Care Certification or Provincial Personal Care Worker course or equivalent; 
  • You are a registered in Nova Scotia’s CCA registry as per the Continuing Care Assistants Registry Act 
  • You can work a schedule of flexible hours and shifts inclusive of days, nights, weekends, and holidays,  
  • You can provide a clear criminal record with vulnerable sector screening; 
  • Alzheimer’s and Dementia Care course considered an asset;

Responsibilities

The Administrative Assistant’s principal role is the efficient and accurate data entry of financial information including the input of tickets, payroll data, and accounts payable data for the division. The Administrative Assistant ensures that correct processes are followed and completed in Arrow’s various software applications on an ongoing basis and as per accounting cycle rules and deadlines. The Administrative Assistant may also be responsible for reception and general office duties, or other tasks as assigned.

 

  • Perform administrative duties such as word processing, maintaining filing and record systems, emailing and photocopying.
  • Code, total, batch, enter, verify, and reconcile transactions such as accounts payable, receivable, payroll, purchase orders, invoices, tickets, and petty cash transactions in the appropriate computer systems.
  • Calculate, prepare, and issue documents related to accounts such as invoices, inventory reports, account statements, lease operator statements and other financial statements using computerized and manual systems.
  • Ensure all files are organized and maintained and all office processes are streamlined for the most efficient and effective operation.
  • Provide internal and external Customer Service excellence.
  • Respond to telephone, in-person or electronic enquiries or forward them to the appropriate person.
  • Provide general information to clients and the public.
  • Ensure full compliance with safety policy and procedures. When applicable, identify hazards and bring potential safety compliance gaps to the attention of Senior Management.
  • Comply with all rules and regulations, protocols, and established metrics.
  • Other duties as assigned by Senior Administrator or Manager.

You Possess

  • Basic knowledge and understanding of the accounting cycle including concepts such asw month-end, year-end, and the importance of timely and accurate data input.
  • Ability to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent alphanumeric keyboarding skills.
  • Previous data entry experience is an asset.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and ability to quickly learn new computer applications i.e., Arrow custom applications, Office 365, etc.
