Job Summary: As a member of the BGIS SCS Team, you will be generally responsible for cleaning in a designated zone with an emphasis on quality control, health and safety & striving to exceed client expectations.
Key Responsibilities: Functioning as a core member of the operational team and reporting to the Manager/ Supervisor as a Cleaner you may be required to perform some of the following tasks as required by the Manager/Supervisor and needs of the client:
- Clean floors by sweeping, scrubbing, or vacuuming
- Dry/wet mop (wash/scrub) and polish hard surface floors. (The washing/scrubbing of floors is done with handheld or auto scrubbers. In large open applications, automatic equipment may be used to perform these functions)

- Cleans glass areas requiring ladders, scaffolding or other extension equipment to reach.
- Cleans washroom floors including stripping and finishing
- Cleans stairwells and elevator cabs where ladders are required
- Loads and unloads supplies and replenishes cleaning solutions
- Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment to prevent damage to floors and fixtures
- Other duties that management may assign

Job Requirements:
- Experience in performing various cleaning, housekeeping and maintenance activities in an institutionalized environment.
- Experience in using floor maintenance machines, cleaning equipment, materials and solutions.
- Knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act and the provisions that apply to this work including WHMIS.
- Ability to lift, push and pull heavy items as well as climb ladders.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to maintain cooperative working relationships with staff, clients and the general public.
- Ability and willingness to work weekends, holidays and shifts as assigned as well as work in multiple locations.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions, prepare and maintain manual and electronic records.
Licenses and/or Professional Accreditation
- Must meet security clearance requirements, where applicable
- Must have a valid Class G license (may be required)

Qualifications
- Completion of Grade 10

- Must have 1 year experience operating tandem or single axle sander/plow truck engaged in snow and ice control
- Must be COE trained and passed on both Sweeper and Plow/Sander

Responsibilities
- Troubleshooting electrical equipment.
- Working with PLC’s & programming software, and their interaction with electrical components.
- Troubleshoot, repair and install high speed filling machines with a comprehensive working knowledge of electrical systems and components to allow efficient repair/replacement results.
- Perform Preventative Maintenance and regular work orders and account for inventory and labor on computerized maintenance system.
- Perform documented regular preventative maintenance inspections on all electrical equipment.
- Ensure that all coders are in good functional working order.
- Assist the production lines with change overs and set ups.
- Identify and report identified hazards and fulfill all Health & Safety, WHMIS, MSDS, and GMP policy requirements.
- Work with others cooperatively, safely and in a structured and team environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Journeymen Red Seal Electrician required.
- A minimum of 5 years' experience as an Electrician is required.
- Ability to read, interpret and update Electrical and Mechanical drawings / schematics is required.
- Experience in the following areas: Equipment Repairs, Equipment Improvements, Equipment Upgrades, New Equipment Installations, Preventive Maintenance, Knowledge and experience with installing, troubleshooting and repairing Programming Logic Controllers (Allen Bradley, Siemens, Omron, Mitsubishi) Competency in troubleshooting HMI’s, Variable frequency drives, Motion control, Laser date coders, Ink jet printers, Case packers, Palletizers, High Speed Packaging system.
- Liquid fill or food manufacturing experience is a strong asset.
- Must have demonstrated command of the English language, both written and verbal.
- Must have the ability to work rotating shifts (days, afternoon, nights) and overtime when required to support a continuous operation.
- Demonstrated ability to listen and follow instruction.
- Demonstrated ability to adapt to changes in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated ability to pay excellent attention to detail.
- Computer literate.

The Edmonton Police Service is seeking a highly motivated individual to fill the challenging position of a CPIC Unit Supervisor.
This position involves providing information to police officers and courts, as well as ensuring effective service delivery to internal and external clients with regards to CPIC requirements. The CPIC Unit requires one (1) individual to assume the following responsibilities:
- Ensure the CPIC Unit is aligned with the Branch and Division strategic priorities by developing and advancing the Unit’s goals and objectives, as set out by the leadership team.
- Supervise and coach/mentor all employees who work in the CPIC Unit to ensure quality customer service and all CPIC functions are maintained to National CPIC standards and performance metrics.
- Provide guidance to CPIC staff and trainees on the CPIC system and arrange for additional training to assist in continued employee development.
- Prepare and deliver employee performance reviews.
- Measure and report on the Unit’s performance measures and outcomes to the Branch’s leadership team.
- Lead and participate in the selection process for new employees.
- Perform other related duties, as required.
Qualifications
- Completion of the twelfth (12th) school grade.
- Completion of a certificate program from an approved business school/college would be considered an asset.
- A minimum of five (5) years progressively responsible and diversified office experience, including a minimum of two (2) years experience in the supervision of a moderate to large clerical support unit.
- A minimum two (2) years progressively responsible experience with CPIC system and CPIC compliance protocols is an asset.
- A minimum two (2) years experience with the administration of criminal justice/court records and use of police information systems, including provincial or municipal police information systems.
- Proven leadership ability, able to make sound decisions, use good judgment and identify priorities in a high-pressured environment.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication (oral and written), and teamwork skills.
- Experience in using Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Teams).

- As part of your pre-hire screening, you will be required to complete an Enhanced Security Clearance.
