What you will do:

Prepare monthly recurring and non-recurring journal entries, ensures financial information is entered into the general ledger system timely, to meet financial cycle reporting timelines.

Drive Day 1 to Day 6-month end activities, ensuring completion of specific accountabilities and deliverables associated with each day.

Review and analyze the monthly general ledger for reasonableness, accuracy, and compliance with GAAP.

Prepare monthly general ledger account reconciliations, including bank reconciliations.

Work with sub-ledger groups (Project Accounting, Payroll, Oil Accounting, Treasury) and other stakeholders to ensure that all financial reporting requirements are met, and issues / queries are resolved timely.

Who you are:

Related university or college degree with 2 to 4 years’ experience in an accounting environment.

Recently obtained or is working towards a professional accounting designation.

Strong knowledge of Oracle Financials / Hyperion Financial Management / SmartView would be an asset.

Strong Microsoft Excel skills
