Group Summary:

Polycon Industries is hiring for a licenced Industrial Electrician.

QUALIFICATIONS NECESSARY TO DO THE JOB:

- Provincial Electricians Ticket (309A or 442-A)

- Controls & Automation Technician diploma an asset

- Grade 12 English and Math or equivalent

- Minimum 5 years experience as an Industrial Electrician with Automation

- Must have strong knowledge of PLCs, robot and HMI programming

- Proven experience performing electrical/electronic troubleshooting of equipment

- Must be capable of interpreting and designing electrical schematics

- Must have proven ability and experience completing electrical installation work including: control wiring,          conduit, power wiring and mcc work

- Demonstrated skill in technical documentation

- Proven mechanical and troubleshooting abilities

- Experience with Fanuc, Sepro and ABB Robotics

- Must be computer literate with MS Office (Word, Excel, etc.)

- Must be results and team oriented

- Must be safety conscious and reliable

- Must have demonstrated good work habits for a period of not less than six months in present job

MAIN DUTIES:

- PLC, Robot & HMI programming, implementation and troubleshooting

- Preventative maintenance of Injection/RIM assembly automation and paint systems

- Repair of equipment, modify robot programs when required

- Design, verification and maintenance of electrical schematics

- Assist in setting up and maintaining programming, electrical component and schematics standards

- Assist in proper maintenance of all programming software and application files and programming hardware

- General Electrical duties

- Completion of all required work orders and associated paperwork

- Perform other duties as assigned

POSITION SUMMARY:

• Assist with the development and continual updating of company policies and interpretation, including employee handbook, supervisors manual, etc.
• Maintains interaction and communication with government bodies, other organizations, etc.
• Acts as a resource/consultant to supervisors/managers with regard to policies, legislation, Employee’s Charter, etc. In conjunction with Manager, assists in the planning of key programs and activities (e.g. staffing, layoffs, etc.).
• Prepares and provides quarterly absenteeism report to supervisors.
• Acts as Department Supervisor in His/Her absence.

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Community college diploma/certificate in Human Resources.
• 2-3 years directly related professional work experience.

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:

• Mathematical/Analytical and proven problem-solving skills

COMPENSATION PACKAGE AND PERQUISITES:

• Salary band of $81,931.20- $91,228.80

We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Engineer with deep expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining scalable data architectures that support our data-driven initiatives. You will lead a team of engineers, collaborate with cross-functional teams including data architects, solution architects, business systems analysts and data engineers and ensure that our data infrastructure is robust, secure, and optimized for performance.

Is this role right for you? In this role you will:

• Design, develop and maintain robust data pipelines for data ingestion and distribution of large datasets for processing and consuming.
• Utilize SaaS services and tools to build, configure and automate data workflows and streamline the data engineering process.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and product managers to analyze data requirements, design, and build ingestion patterns to bring in new data sources to the data platform.
• Build and monitor application services and pipeline performance.
• Conduct data quality checks.
• Experience building data pipelines, and composable cloud-based data platforms in Google Cloud Provider (GCP).
• Experience configuring and using data ingestion tools such as Fivetran, and Qlik Replicate
• Have prior experience with data engineering, programming, ETL, ELT, processes for data integration and ingestion.
• Experience in data modelling, manipulating large data sets and handling raw data, and other cleaning techniques.
• Experience working with structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data.
• Experience collaborating and working with DevOps and Scrum Teams
• Demonstrated team player with strong communication skills and a track record of successful delivery of product development.
• Expert at problem solving.
• Strong scripting skills (SQL, Python)
• Strong knowledge of cloud infrastructure

• 10+ years of experience building Data Warehouse / Data Platforms
• 5+ years of experience creating ELT / ETL data pipelines from scratch, working with structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data
• 5+ years of experience configuring and using data ingestion/ replication tools such as Fivetran, or Qlik
• 3+ years of experience with Cloud: GCP
• 3+ years of experience with Airflow
• 5+ years of experience working on continuous integrations and continuous deployment pipeline (CI/CD) and working with source control systems such as Github, Bitbucket, and Terraform

What you will do:

• Responsible for transporting material to and from customer sites and other local locations.
• Obtain necessary shipping documentation related to the assigned route.
• Load items and orders into truck while adhering to a sometimes tight to delivery schedule.
• Consolidates items and skids to maximize space in the trailer using a forklift or pump truck to load material.               
• Straps and/or secures material so that there is no damage or breakage to the material during transport.             
• Delivers orders to customers’ facilities, construction sites other branches or warehouses using the most effective itinerary or assigned itinerary.               
• Unload products according to the destination’s applicable rules.  
• Responsible for obtaining a signature of acknowledgment of delivery

What you will bring:

• Valid DZ license required.
• Clean driver’s abstract is required. (No traffic tickets, no points, and no “at-fault” accidents within the last 3 years)
• Exceptional customer service and communication skills
• Must be dependable and reliable and willing to take initiative
• Able to regularly lift up to fifty (50lbs) pounds
• Forklift certified or ability to be certified
