The primary function of this trades position is to provide millwright service to the Lloydminster Thermal Assets with support to the Conventional Heavy Oil as needed. Work Environment:

  • This position is in the Lloydminster region and requires the successful candidate to live in the area

What you’ll do:

  • Complete repairs on various equipment within the Lloydminster Thermal facilities such as but not limited to, centrifugal pumps, chemical pumps, progressive cavity pumps, positive displacement reciprocating pumps and air compressors. Will support the Lloydminster Conventional Heavy Oil as necessary

  • Perform preventative maintenance and inspections

  • Maintains equipment history records using computer systems (SAP)

  • General trade knowledge in mechanical seals, alignment, various styles of pumps, compressors, couplings, bearings and lubrication

  • Hoisting and Rigging

  •  Aligns with all HS&E requirements in the performance of this position's responsibilities

  • Work well in a team environment with multi  subject area trades under minimal supervision

 

Who you are:

 

Our ideal candidate will have the following minimum requirements:

  • Legally authorized to work in Canada

  • Minimum of 6 years of maintenance and industrial experience in oil and gas or relevant industry

  • Minimum of 2 years working as a Red Seal Journeyman Mechanic, Millwright, Heavy duty technician or equivalent

  • Experience communicating and providing direction across multi-discipline teams

  • Working knowledge of SAP or CMMS considered an asset

How you will make contributions that matter:

  • Enhance departmental performance, productivity, and cost control by identifying recurring problems and preparing preventative and scheduled work orders within a determined timeframe.

  • This position is located in Lloydminster and requires the successful candidate to live in the area

 

What you’ll do:

  • Provide technical stationary and rotating equipment support for Canadian Downstream business units

  • Prepare Repair and Alteration documents for stationary and rotating equipment

  • Execute micro/discipline projects

  • Provide technical support for projects

  • Provide technical support to Maintenance and Operations

  • Work closely with team subject matter experts to resolve problems

  • Work closely with Asset Integrity team review equipment inspection report and determining appropriate repairs

 

Who you are:

 

Our ideal candidate will have the following minimum requirements:

  • Legally authorized to work in Canada

  • Licensed Professional Engineer registered with APEGA or APEGS (P.Eng)

  • Minimum 4 years of experience in a reliability or maintenance engineering role within Oil & Gas or similar industry

  • Experience and knowledge with applicable stationary and /or rotating equipment and relevant codes and standards for design, inspection, and repairs is considered an asset

  • Knowledge and familiarity with welding, weld procedures, and heat treatment. CWB Welding Inspector certification and experience with ASME Section IX will be considered an asset

  • Knowledge and familiarity with common materials utilized for stationary and rotating equipment in an Upgrader and/or Refinery or similar

As this position has been identified as safety sensitive, employment of a final candidate selected for this position will be conditional upon successful completion of required pre-employment medical and alcohol/drug assessments.

 

For this position you will be required to maintain a Class 5 driver's license, a satisfactory driving record, and adhere to the appropriate Company policies and guidelines.  A driver's abstract will be one of the background checks requested in the pre-employment screening for the final candidate.
