RESPONSIBILITIES:
- The functions listed describe the business purpose of this job. Specific duties or tasks may vary and be documented separately. The employee might not be required to perform all the functions listed. Additional duties may be assigned, and functions may be modified, according to business necessity.
- The primary function of the screening guard is to ensure that only authorized equipment is allowed to enter or leave secure production areas in order to protect the data maintained inside. The screening guard reports to the assigned Shift Security Supervisor.
- Read, understand, and apply the latest version of the Security Operation Procedures (SOP), and other bulletins and communications with regards to the roles and responsibilities.
- Write, review and document Shift Activity Report (SAR).
- Conducts screening of all personnel entering or exiting a secure production area.
- Ensure compliance with all required screening procedures and policies.
- Identifies prohibited items and prevents them from being introduced or removed from a secure production area.
- Perform other duties as directed by the Shift Security Supervisor.
- Inquire with persons being screened for feedback on the screening process.
- Perform function checks on walk through metal detector (WTMD) and handheld metal detector (HHMD) at the beginning of each shift.
- Maintain Screening Checkpoints in accordance with the Screening SOP.
- Ensure proper screening procedures and techniques are utilized as per the Screening SOP.
- Interact effectively across diverse cultures.
- Monitor traffic flow of checkpoints and recommend staffing adjustments as necessary.
- Follow proper chain of command and procedures for all matters which require escalation.
- Escalate issue and/or violations to the Shift Security Supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Valid Ontario Security License
- Valid First Aid and CPR Certificate
- Thorough understanding of security protocols and procedures including emergency response.
- 3 years of security experience or a combination of security and customer service experience.
- Eligibility for reliability clearances required.

Major Responsibilities:
As a Street Outreach Worker, you will be responsible for assessing and addressing client needs as a member of a team in a client focused, holistic fashion. The primary functions associated with this position include:

Key Qualifications:

- Degree or Diploma in Social Services or related field or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
- Experience addressing the needs of homeless clients or clients at risk of homelessness which may include assisting in obtaining housing, identification, social assistance, health and mental health services.
You must also have:
- Knowledge of resources and services provided by the Toronto Shelter and Support Services Division, the community and various government entitlement programs and ability to assist in program development.

Key Qualifications:
Your application must describe your qualifications as they relate to:
- Considerable office administration experience at a senior level within a team environment.
- Considerable experience with administrative systems, relating to data management, budget and accounting principles and techniques such as accounts payable, and reconciliation of petty cash/P-card expenditures.
- Extensive experience with a variety of software packages including Microsoft Office Suite (i.e. Word, Excel, MS Access and PowerPoint) and Outlook.
- Experience using a financial system, such as the SAP financial system.
- Considerable experience in developing and implementing administrative work procedures and systems.
You must also have:
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to perform in a high volume, high stress environment.
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with politicians, the public, and all levels of staff.
- Ability to identify and analyze problems or inefficiencies and develop effective solutions.
- Ability to meet deadlines and deal with conflicting priorities and work demands.
- Ability to deal with confidential materials and matters.
- An understanding of issues of housing and homelessness, as well as the services provided by the Housing Secretariat Division.
- Customer service skills working with clients, service providers, the general public and/or staff to address service inquiries, requests and/or complaints.
- Good knowledge and understanding of City’s By-Laws, policies and procedures with respect to purchasing, accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable and financial reporting.
