Note: Rates of pay after successful completion of training are as follows:

• 1st - 8th month - 85% of Bus Operator rate ($29.203/hr)
• 9th - 16th month - 90% of Bus Operator rate ($30.920/hr)
• 17th - 24th month - 95% of Bus Operator rate ($32.638/hr)
• After 24 months - Full Bus Operator rate ($34.356/hr) (2024 Rates of Pay)

Reviews and assesses new Driver and Broker Driver applications and responds accordingly.  Driver set-up upon approval and on-going coordination of Drug & Alcohol testing program in accordance with regulations and company policy.

How You'll Help:

• Reviews Driver and Broker-Driver applications, including assessment of driver history and information provided, Driver Abstracts, and completion of reference checks within 3-day turnaround time.
• Maintains up-to-date applicant file and all supporting documentation. 
• Advises Broker Recruiter or Operations Manager when new candidates are approved for road test. 
• Reviews completed road test results.
• Responds to Driver and Broker-Driver applicants accordingly.
• Sets up newly approved Drivers and Broker-Drivers in required systems and arranges all required training.
• Manages relationships with third-party vendors, such as Drug & Alcohol testing companies.
• Stays up-to-date on driver and industry regulations and training requirements.
• Other related duties as may be required.

Your Skills & Experience:

• Minimum completion of secondary education, preferably with post secondary education in administrative stream.  A combination of education and experience may also be considered.
• Previous experience in an office environment and in the transportation industry are preferred.
• People-oriented with strong customer service and relationship building skills
• Strong computer skills, including proficiency in MS Outlook, Excel & Word and the aptitude for learning new programs.

The Fire Services Dispatcher is required to operate and maintain Communications Centre equipment; receive emergency calls and dispatch appropriate apparatus

Responsibilities:

• Answering and dispatching both agency direct, 911and civilian calls for emergency fire resources to incidents
• Operating a computer aided dispatch and records management system, emergency radio system, multi-line 911 and administrative telephone system, GIS mapping system, along with various other systems within the fire dispatch centre
• Assess information provided by callers to correctly dispatch the required fire resources in accordance with established policies and procedures
• Work on rotating shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays, and overtime as required
• Have scheduling flexibility for alternate shift assignment

• Ability to comply with NFPA 1061 Public Safety Telecommunicator I & II standards

Schedule: 7am - 3pm Tuesday - Saturday 

The Dispatcher is responsible for dispatching units to pick up and deliver freight, monitor the performance of drivers and ensure customer timelines are adhered to. Part of this job is on efficient utilization, management and performance of our trailer bank Refers, Dry Vans and Long Combination Vehicles allowing the company to efficiently move optimized loads and achieve on-time service to all customers and terminals.

How You’ll Help: 

• Coordinate deliveries, assign pick up requests, and enter line haul orders in the computer. 
• Assign appointment freight deliveries to trucks, manifest shipments, and check for expedited shipments. 
• Answer phones from drivers and customers. 
• Review yard check to ensure freight is not missed and trucks are on schedule. 
• Coordinate drivers to come back for second round of deliveries. 
• Coordinate daily P&D requirements. 
• Monitor driver performance and report finding to manager. 
• Identify areas for improvement and efficiencies. 
• Perform clerical duties for compliance and broker pay as required. 
• Other related duties as may be required.  

Your Skills and Experience: 

• Minimum of secondary education, with preference of post-secondary education (Supply Chain or Logistics Management, or a combination of education and experience. 
• Previous Transportation or operational experience is preferred, various roles within transportation would be beneficial. New graduates or current students are welcome.
