What you'll do...

2. Covers an assigned area(s) on the salesfloor.
3. Zones assigned area.
4. Moves feature merchandise to its modular home.
5. Works recovery merchandise from the Customer Service desk and other areas of the store.
6. Assists with Front End coverage.
7. Communicates with other associates to ensure floor coverage is maintained.
8. Contributes to a safe, clean and hazard free work environment through adherence to Company policy and procedures, including the completion of safety sweep logs and ensuring displays and fixtures are secure.
9. Stocks merchandise/picks, Downstocks if applicable . Applies product protection when required. Sets and completes modulars, including flex modulars and sets new shelf caps.

Job Details

Working as a Consumables Associate at Walmart Canada is a great way to develop your skills in the retail industry. The Consumables Associate is a customer service champion that contributes to the high-volume, fast-paced flow of merchandise from the backroom to the salesfloor. This Associate will function as part of a team to stock and process merchandise and assist customers with their shopping needs, all in a safe and clean environment. What you'll do...

1. Greets all customers in a polite and friendly manner.
2. Assists customers by promoting products/services, locating merchandise and making purchase decisions.
3. Resolves customer issues and refers concerns to management where appropriate.
4. Maintains salesfloor presentation by stocking and rotating merchandise, removing damaged or out-of-date goods, setting up and maintaining product displays, signing and pricing merchandise.
5. Ensures proper handling of claims and returns, secures merchandise, identifies high shrink items and maintains a safe work environment as per Company policies and procedures.
6. Receives and stocks merchandise, utilizes equipment appropriately, administers required paperwork, logs and other documentation.
7. Refers appropriate service and transactional items to a Customer Service Manager as required.
8. Stocks merchandise/picks, Downstocks if applicable . Applies product protection when required. Sets and completes modulars, including flex modulars and sets new shelf caps.

 

The minimum rate of pay for this position starts from $18.40. Rate of pay will be determined based on relevant experience.
