The Domestic Transportation team at Canadian Tire is looking for a dedicated Operations Dispatcher to join the team. This position is focused on managing the transportation plan for shipments to and from customers nationwide, including CTR stores, vendors, distributions centres, third party hubs, and rail terminals. Working within a very fast paced and dynamic environment, the Operations Dispatcher will tender and supervise loads being executed by third party carriers, as well as Canadian Tire’s own Fleet within Ontario, Quebec and Western Canada in accordance with legal compliance for Fleet operations. The Operations Dispatcher will modify freight movements to ensure flawless execution at the lowest possible cost. Acting as a subject matter expert, the Operations Dispatcher will manage key performance indicators within the context of supporting the achievement of Transportation goals. The Operations Dispatcher is required to work various shifts based on business requirements.

Promoting the use of accurate vehicle and equipment records, as a Supervisor you understand the need to demonstrate compliance with legislation as well as being a valuable source of information on the potential design and procurement of future replacement vehicles.
As the leader of your maintenance team, you will be involved in all aspects of staff hiring, providing input into vendor contract documentation/vendor management, as well as, support client and Fleet Procurement in future vehicle purchases.

Key Qualifications
Your application must describe your qualification as they relation to the following:
Licensing
- Certification as a Journeyperson Truck and Coach (310T) Technician , and an Automotive (310S) Journey person. Heavy Duty Equipment Technician (421A) certification may be considered, or an equivalent combination of education and experience relevant to the position.
- A valid class G Ontario Drivers license and the ability to obtain a City Drivers Permit
Leadership
- Considerable experience in leading, coaching, motivating, employees, while providing work direction and holding people accountable.

Mechanical Skills

Administrative Skills

- Experience analyzing data to evaluate garage performance and leading continuous improvement initiatives in the shop.
