The Senior Application Developer will be responsible for translating software requirements into workable programming code and will maintain and develop programs for use in business, automation, configuration management, workflow development and parametrization.

Role

• Take the lead on the development of APIs and web applications
• Lead on code development and/or modifications to routines, versions, enquires, screens, tabs, menus, process workflows, local fields, and local tables
• Actively participate in the development and testing of technical updates to the T24 Banking System
• Complete interface updates, modifications, automation of services, and development
• Review programs for corrections and enhancements or environment changes
• Ensure and confirm parametrization changes in T24 are complete
• Apply your capabilities and know-how for the documentation of requirements and RFPs as required for existing and new clients
• Stay up to date in your area of expertise through research and consult about potential software and/or system changes
• Communicate with others about current industry trends, new technologies and services that impact member and employee experience as well as providing factual recommendations

Required Skills

• Post-secondary diploma or degree in computer science or equivalent in a related program
• Have a minimum of eight (8) years of working knowledge of Java, APIs, mobile development, .NET
• Have training and experience in Temenos T24 software support and development considered an asset
• Understand and have working knowledge of System Develop Life Cycle (SDLC) processes for planning, creating, testing and deploying an information system

Position Summary:

The Programmer Analyst’s role is to define, develop, test, analyze, and maintain existing and new software applications in support of the achievement of business requirements.  This includes writing, coding, testing, and analyzing software programs and applications.  The Programmer Analyst will also research, design, document, and modify software specifications throughout the production life cycle. The individual will apply proven communication, analytical and problem-solving skills to help identify, communicate and resolve systems issues to maximize and continually improve Formet’s Information Systems.

Who we are looking for:

• College diploma or university degree in the field of computer science, information systems, or software engineering, and/or equivalent work experience
• Experience with multiple computer programming languages (ex: JavaScript, C#, Python, C++, Java, Visual Basic, .NET Framework).
• Experience with SQL Server, MySQL and Postgres databases
• Experience interviewing end-users for insight on functionality, interface, problems, and/or usability issues.

Duties & Responsibilities:

What you will do:

• A very key element, is that you will learn the nuts and bolts of the legacy ERP system, so that you can participate in leveraging changes to enable new technologies that integrate with the ERP, and or simulate the ERP on newer technology platforms
• Initiate and facilitate requirement discovery sessions with business stakeholders to fully understand the business request, refining the requirement by sharing proposed designs and solutions as well as incorporating feedback
• Responsible for analyzing business needs to identify use cases, and if necessary new processes, process improvements that will meet those needs
• Ensure business requirements are translated to functional requirements for development, these document types may include use cases and user stories, business requirements documents, functional specifications, wireframe designs and product backlog items

• Work with IT teams to provide estimates for level of effort (LOE) and estimated time of delivery
