The Engineer - Process position will be responsible for determining the operations for fabrication and assembly of products by reviewing parts drawings, specifications, and other engineering data. Primarily accountable for planning, scheduling, conducting, or coordinating phases of major engineering projects in addition to developing sequence of operations, estimate time requirements for each, and prepare operation sheets.

  • Attend Advance Quality Planning meetings to finalize design of required fixtures and tooling.
  • Interface with suppliers of raw material and tools to establish engineering requirements for start of production.
  • Investigate and find resolution of specific processing problems for assigned projects and parts.
  • Prepare quotations for new jobs, including material and processing costs, tooling, gauges and capital investment costs if required.
  • Participate in productivity improvement investigations.
  • Conduct time studies.
  • Maintain ongoing process control through quality troubleshooting and process improvement investigation.
  • Regular review of all processes and operator instructions for assigned customers to ensure accuracy and conformance to actual procedures.
  • Collect data and develop statistics to describe equipment and system functionality.
  • Estimate durations of development, fabrication, construction and repair tasks.
  • Define which materials and equipment to use for projects and select appropriate codes.
  • Complete work order and change work order forms to notify key parties about projects.
  • Assume project management roles to co-ordinate the involvement of other engineers, contractors, technicians and suppliers.

Credentials

  • Post-Secondary education in Engineering or Equivalent.
  • Minimum three years of related experience.
  • Knowledge/work experience in machine processes, cutting tools, fixtures, CNC and Special purpose machines.
  • Working knowledge of ISO-TS16949 and ISO 14001, and with mechanical blueprint interpretation including GD and T.
  • Good computer skills, including Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Experience with the use of statistical analysis software and computer-assisted design, manufacturing and machining (i.e. AutoCAD, CAD/CAM and SolidWorks).

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including production, maintenance, and quality assurance, to ensure seamless integration of process improvements

 

Qualifications

  • A post-secondary Engineering degree, diploma or equivalent
  • 1-3 years of hands-on experience in a manufacturing engineering role
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, equipment, and tools
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills with a proactive approach to addressing and resolving manufacturing challenges
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Machine design mentality, SolidWorks proficiency and GD&T knowledge are assets.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Controls Engineer is primarily responsible for researching, developing, designing and testing electronic components products and systems. The Controls Engineer will develop and improve manufacturing control systems and oversee documentation on program changes.

  • Maintain safety standards of equipment and work area and perform all duties in a safe manner in accordance with the safety policies of Karmax.
  • Perform all duties in a safe manner in accordance with Section 28 of the Occupational Health & Safety Act and Regulations for Industrial Establishments.

  • Assists in the training of Trade Co-op Students, Apprentices and Journeyman in accordance with the principles of the Employee Charter and the policies and procedures set out in the Karmax Handbook.

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • University Degree in Electrical/Controls Engineering
  • Strong knowledge of PLCs and Controls

The Buildings and Systems Engineering (BaSE) Supervisor is responsible for safeguarding UPS assets, including buildings, equipment, and grounds, while ensuring compliance with environmental, safety, and labor regulations.

This role involves overseeing facility maintenance, housekeeping, and conveyor system reliability. This includes the oversight and management of both unionized and non-unionized employees who will directly report to them.

The BaSE Supervisor also manages construction projects, ensures adherence to UPS building standards, and provides technical and regulatory expertise across multiple domains.

Key Responsibilities:

Facility Maintenance & Compliance:

  • Oversee maintenance, housekeeping, and labor compliance across automated hub
  • Ensure adherence to UPS Hazardous Materials Procedures and international/national regulations for transporting regulated goods (e.g., hazardous materials, tobacco, alcohol)
  • Conduct audits, facilitate Corrective Action Plans (CAPs), and deliver employee training on compliance requirements
  • Ensure regularly scheduled maintenance is completed timely and effectively, and all deficiencies are corrected
  • Oversee invoicing and manage costs for planned and emergency maintenance

Environmental & Safety Compliance:

  • Monitor district-level environmental and safety compliance for automated hub
  • Review facility regulations, perform audits, and analyze trends to address compliance issues

Conveyor Reliability:

  • Manage mechanic dispatch for scheduled maintenance as well as emergency repairs
  • Maintain an accurate record of the facilities inventory through CMMS
  • Provide hands-on and remote support for conveyor or equipment related breakdowns and issues that arise during operations.
  • Generate reports outlining overall system effectiveness and reliability

Technical Support:

  • Provide guidance to Plant Engineering Information Systems (PEIS) personnel and users.
  • Maintain and update documentation for UPS building standards and specifications.

Construction Project Management:

  • Manage low to moderately complex construction projects, such as conveyor installations and facility modifications.
  • Ensure projects adhere to contract documentation, timelines, and cost control measures.
  • Provide drafting and web support services for construction documentation.

Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of facility maintenance and conveyor systems.
  • Familiarity with hazardous materials procedures and regulatory compliance.
  • Proficiency in software and hardware development and deployment.
  • Experience managing construction projects and ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Exposure to/Understanding of Automation in some regards, preferably in relation to conveyance, sortation, and building systems

Additional Skills:

  • Ability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously in a dynamic environment.

Rogers is seeking a Civil Engineer / Civil Engineering Specialist, reporting to the Sr. Manager, Civil Engineering National Standards, Wireless Civil & Equipment Engineering at the Rogers Park Brampton Campus. 

 

What you'll do:

  • Establish Rogers Standards to mitigate risk for New Site Builds.
  • Determine best practice beyond industry standards (CSA). 
  • Provide Civil Engineering guidance and solutions to resolve civil issues with compounds, access roads, antenna/lines, towers, foundations, grounding on request.
  • Assist Real Estate and Field Operations with resolving landlord concerns, structural, esthetics, re-roofing etc.
  • Ensure Civil infrastructure compliance on all applicable safety codes, standards and Rogers Health and Safety rules
  • Participant and consult to Drive cost savings through Value Engineering, review designs, recommend tower types, location, configuration to maximize value and minimize CPU.
  • Engage Civil Engineering Consultants to complete site audits, Engineering Structural Analysis and Engineering Drawing and review for accuracy, design feasibility, project scope and revisions as required.
  • Provide engineering support for 3rd party incoming co-locates on Rogers owned towers
  • Approval of design reviews for new structures
  • Perform other duties as required consistent with the principal objectives of the position.

 

What you bring:

  • Civil Engineer, Civil Technologist or equivalent degree and/or experience.
  • P.Eng would be considered an asset.
  • Working knowledge of Canadian telecom and construction industry codes and standards, including relevant CSA standards and the Building Codes
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage working on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Visio) and Familiarity with CAD software.
  • Ability to work in a team-based situation.
  • Valid drivers license an asset.

 
This is a hybrid work position and will require you to be in office three days per week. You can choose which days in office work best for you!

As a member of Supply Chain Projects team you will participate in a demanding, fast paced operations environment ensuring reliable facility operations in CTR's Supply Chain distribution network.

  • Develop business cases, requirements, and cost benefit analysis for capital project

  • Oversee projects ensuring they are managed effectively (scope, quality, time, budget) and efficiently using accepted project management methodologies

What you bring

  • Engineering degree preferably with a Mechanical/Industrial Engineering background or equivalent experience Professional Engineer (or equivalent professional experience) Project Management Professional (PMP) accreditation
