The Security Specialist is primarily responsible for the maintenance and implementation of physical security programs and equipment of Coke Canada Bottling’s facilities. Responsibilities

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or Equivalent work experience is required, with courses in law enforcement or relevant field preferred
  • At least 3 years experience in the corporate security field
  • Bilingual in spoken and written French and English 
  • Experience with implementation, operation and support of electronic access control and surveillance systems
  • Knowledge of investigative practices, methods and enforcement strategies
  • Familiar with the protocols for collecting, handling, and passing on evidence

•    Respond to Canadian law enforcement agency phone inquiries requesting assistance due to exigent (emergency) circumstances. 
•    Live answer all calls to determine the nature of the law enforcement inquiry and what is required from Rogers to assist law enforcement. 
•    Support 911 Public Safety Answering Points (PSAPs) across Canada by facilitating access to customer information under exigent circumstances.
•    Respond to all inquiries from law enforcement agencies pursuant to their criminal investigations as per departmental procedures. 
•    Analyze records and prepare reports containing data stored within business systems in response to court orders.
•    Manage special projects as assigned. 
 
Qualifications:
•     Ability to work various shifts inclucing midnight-8am,4pm-midnight, 8am-4pm) 

  • Must be able to work shifts.  (days, evenings, overnights, week-ends, and statutory holidays

•    Applicants with a background in legal, telecommunications, or law enforcement related programs are encouraged to apply.
•    Must be able to obtain and maintain a federal government security clearance. 
•    Excellent communications and customer service skills

  • Strict attention to detail.

•    Must have been living in Canada for 10 years
•    Professionalism and ability to maintain confidentiality of information.
•    Previous experience in a call centre and / or customer service role is an asset. 

•    Knowledge of Rogers technologies is an asset.  

 •    Knowledge of Vision 21, SGI, AS400, MS Word, Excel preferred.
•    Credit and criminal background checks will be conducted for all final candidates.

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:

The CPKC Police Service delivers police services to the CPKC network. Duties include emergency response, special events policing, risk reduction operations, investigation and enforcement of criminal acts, crime prevention and public safety programs. Candidates must live within 100km of Montreal. The first-class constable’s rate of pay for 2024 is 111K or 53.41 per hour. In 2025 it will increase to 115K. 

 

POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Public Safety through enforcement and education
  • Prevention and detection of crime
  • Enforcement of Federal, Provincial, and municipal laws, statutes, and by-laws
  • Criminal and collision investigations

  • Knowledge of the Canadian Criminal Justice System
