POSITION SUMMARY
The Feed Truck Driver is responsible for the efficient delivery of feed products while providing courteous, quality-conscious customer service as set out by Maple Leaf Agri-Farms company guidelines.  

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provides quality customer service
• Delivers loads of feed as assigned by dispatcher
• Performs daily pre-trip, and weekly truck/trailer inspections
• Reports and discusses truck/trailer maintenance concerns with supervisor
• Maintains log book as required
• Keeps tractor/trailer unit clean and well organized, both inside and out, notwithstanding inclement weather conditions and the demand for on-time feed delivery
• Performs all paperwork according to business requirements
• Ability to work flexible hours, including some weekends and holidays
• Ability to work in extreme temperatures ranging from +40 to -40 degrees Celsius

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS:

• Valid Class 1A Driver’s License with favorable Driver’s Abstract
• 3-5 years of experience driving truck/trailer unit
• Strong communication skills, both oral and written
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

To ensure timely delivery of packages to predetermined customers on specific routes, reviewing orders prior to delivery, load/unload vehicle and provide exceptional customer service to our client base.

Some knowledge of Federal Express Canada operations an asset.

We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented Dispatcher to manage pickup coordination across Newfoundland and Labrador (NL), Nova Scotia (NS), Prince Edward Island (PEI), and New Brunswick (NB). This role requires a solid understanding of Atlantic Canada’s geography and the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced logistics environment

How You’ll Help: 

• Coordinate and assign daily pickup requests across terminals.
• Monitor and update TMS to ensure all pickups are actioned.
• Reschedule missed pickups and maintain clear documentation in the system.
• Review Terminal Reports daily for accuracy and address discrepancies with terminals.
• Communicate effectively with drivers and terminals to resolve issues and ensure operations run smoothly.
• Maintain up-to-date records and ensure system data is accurate.
• Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency.
• Provide detailed end-of-shift handovers for seamless transitions

Your Skills and Experience: 

• Strong knowledge of Atlantic Canada’s geography (NL, NS, PEI, NB).
• Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in logistics systems and excel is an asset.
• Ability to manage high volumes of communication and multitask effectively.
• Strong problem solving skills with the ability to implement proactive solutions to support operational demands and efficiencies
