  • Utilize a variety of testing techniques which support the performance and non-functional testing activities, single user profiling, spike, stress, endurance, fail over etc
  • Act as key point of contact for delivery teams, and QE as a whole, across all channels supporting the creation of test scope, execution and resolution of performance issues prior to production deployment. 
  • Analyzes, recommend and implement engineering suggestions to improve efficiencies and increase responsiveness of client project requirements, ensure technology is current and up to date with industry standards while maintaining established service levels
  • Provide coaching and mentoring to other members of the QE and delivery teams in areas including non-functional requirements, performance testing strategy, and business domain where applicable.
  • Manage and execute performance testing activities for multiple projects of varying scale; single delivery team to enterprise wide programs/projects for Tangerine that are executed in Waterfall or Agile methodology
  • Ensure all test assets, execution results/analysis, sign off and closure reports are captured within JIRA
  • Assess the risks associated with the development aspects of each solution/project and define a performance testing approach, making solution recommendations to development, architecture, and infrastructure where possible.
  • Support continuous performance testing within CICD pipelines and support /maintain performance tests, monitoring and metrics gathering to ensure system stability and trending analysis
  • Collect strategic, technical and operational test metrics across testing and production environments.  Analyze current defects and test execution trends and extrapolate data for predictive analysis
  • Responsible for consolidated test reports outlining key metrics and performance KPI’s for Senior Management.  
  • Work under the guidance of the Performance Engineering Lead and Manager/Sr. Manager and be a participant in discussion with vendors related to testing methodologies, tooling, resources, POCs, etc.

Education/Experience

  • University or College Degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science/Engineering
  • 4+ years of experience working within SDLC/TDLC
  • 3+ years of testing experience specifically within the Performance testing discipline
  • Proficient testing background in the Canadian financial services industry or large scale enterprise systems

 

General/Technical Skills

  • Solid understanding of Performance test process methodologies, approaches and tools
  • Ability to understand enterprise scale infrastructures and emerging technologies

The Solutions Delivery Specialist is accountable for the technical direction and delivery within one of our strategic product areas. The span of accountability includes overseeing the evaluation, definition, development, modification, implementation, integration and alignment of related systems, processes and tools. Management (indirect) of delivery personnel and/or external vendors may be required from time to time.  Managing operational issue resolution (as point-of-escalation with clients) will be required. This role is project & solution-delivery focused with internal client management duties. The particular product area opening we are actively recruiting for at this time is our Remote Command Center line of business.

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES  

 Technical Lead

  • Determines and directs the delivery of appropriate technical solutions that align with business and Information Technology objectives, requirements, and standards.
  • Directs a cross functional team engaged in the delivery of technology solutions (including internal and external personnel/ technologies and industry leading solutions).
  • Implements Smart Building designs, including connection designs, IT/OT network architecture, system reliability, and leads technical discussions between BGIS InfoSec and project representatives.
  • Integrates BAS networking and architecture with third-party systems via network connections and integration.

Strategic Planning

  • Accountable for providing direction to the strategic plan of information management systems as it relates to Project Delivery in the commercial / construction space. Oversee the evaluation, definition, development, modification, implementation, integration and alignment (consistency) of related systems, processes and tools.
  • Resource planning, project planning, business case development, staff management, systems development lifecycle oversight.

Compliance

  • Represents his/her client interests at IT Governance.
  • Develops, implements, audits and monitors compliance to standards (audit, client, industry, internal). Implements related best practices.

Relationship Management 

  • Collaborates with relevant concerned parties to understand business objectives and requirements. 
  • Directs client interaction at a senior level, representing RCC regarding Smart Building discussions, including connection designs, IT/OT network architecture, system reliability, and be the liaison between BGIS InfoSec and project representatives.

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS 

  • University degree or college diploma in Computer Science, Engineering management, or related field with demonstrated knowledge that is usually acquired with 5 to 10 years of experience.
  • Strong business knowledge.
  • Strong understanding of technology elements and how they come together to deliver value within the organization.
  • Strong knowledge of application development methodologies and integration techniques.
  • Knowledge and experience with BAS networking.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, including the tact and diplomacy required to interact with senior clients.
  • Ability to interface at all levels within the organization from front line to executive.
  • Project management and planning skills.
  • Demonstrated success in delivering projects to multiple concerned parties – on time – on budget.
  • Ability to influence, motivate, and inspire others.

Licenses and/or Professional Accreditation 

  • None required, but experience with construction / commercial project management and a PMP designation would be an advantage.

Data Center Technician Full-time Job

As the IT Data Center Technician, you will provide on-site support for the delivery and maintenance of DCS Information Technology (IT) services within the Data Center environment. Serve as the first responder to investigate any issues or concerns related to the Data Center systems. Activities include conducting fault diagnostics/rectifying hardware failures and network channel connectivity.  Install, move, and decommission DCS IT equipment such as servers, switches, and routers. Perform cable installation, hardware upgrades, and replace failed components. Conduct general maintenance and housekeeping of the DCS IT services.
 
This role is part of the Critical and Specialized Services job function.  This job function provides technical maintenance services in critical client environments such as Data Centers, Laboratories, Oil Rigs, Trade Floors, etc. 
 
What You’ll Do:
 
•Perform hardware (rack/stack) and cable installations (routing, terminating, structured cabling), including troubleshooting and testing. Also, perform hardware decommissions and cable removal.
•Coordinate DCS IT asset redundant power requirements with appropriate facilities staff. Ensure proper load balance and fail-over capacity to avoid cascading failures. 
•Prepare and coordinate incoming and outgoing shipments. Compare packing lists with purchase details to ensure accurate make, model, and quantities are received and processed. 
•Perform remote hands support for example power cycles, physical environment, and cabling inspections. Swap out failed components, do hardware upgrades, test copper and fiber cables, handle storage media, and enter troubleshooting commands. 
•Grant site access to vendors and/or escort 3rd parties requiring Data Center access for approved activities.  Ensure their compliance with site standards. 
•Impact through clearly defined duties, and methods and tasks are described in detail.
•Deliver own output by following defined procedures and processes under close supervision and guidance.
•Carry out daily housekeeping checks of the data halls, and record findings. 
•Support Service Management and related processes (e.g., Service Request, Incident, Change) by creating, updating, approving, and closing associated assigned tickets. 
•Ensure that Method Statements and Risk Assessments are always prepared and used for all tasks ensuring safe work practices.
•Follow basic work routines and standards in application of work.
•Comprehend and interpret instructions, short correspondence, and memos and ask clarifying questions to ensure understanding. 
•Learn new technologies and expand and share this knowlege.  
•Communicate straightforward information and respond to common inquiries or complaints from clients, co-workers, and/or supervisor.
•Use existing procedures to solve straightforward problems with supervisor guidance.
•Write routine reports and correspondence.
•       Shift work, 12-hour shifts nights and days, on a rotation, evenings, weekends, daytime.
