Contributing in this role means:

• Carry out the installation, maintenance and mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic repair of equipment and the building;
• Ensure checks and maintenance of the refrigeration and air conditioning systems as well as ensuring the proper functioning of the steam boiler;
• Sanitary welding (TIG);
• Carry out the work to be done according to established priorities, the availability of equipment and materials required;
• Perform inspection and preventive maintenance of equipment;
• Troubleshoot control sequences including PLCs, operator interfaces, frequency converters, industrial and computer communication networks.
• Maintain schematic drawings, work procedures and configuration parameters of the various equipment, while respecting the electrical safety program and health and safety standards established by the company.
• Apply the standards required according to the various legislations in force in terms of OHS, environment, HACCP;

The qualifications sought are:

• Hold a DEP in electromechanics or other similar training;
• Hold a C license (Asset)
• Have concrete knowledge of electrical systems, reading plans or diagrams.
• Have skills with automation systems in a predominantly Allen-Bradley environment;
• Have a minimum knowledge of operator interfaces (HMI), Allen-Bradley and Omron;
• Master the operation of electric motors and frequency variators.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment with a production line operating in continuous mode with very short intervention times.

Six Pints Collective  is currently looking for a  Maintenance Attendant  to join the  Trou du Diable team  in  Shawinigan .  

Responsibilities  : 

• Clean and maintain common areas, offices, meeting rooms and restrooms. 

• Vacuum, sweep and wash floors.  

• Dust furniture, equipment and surfaces. 

• Empty the trash and replace the bags. 

• Clean windows, mirrors and other glass surfaces. 

• Restock cleaning supplies and hygiene products. 

• Report needed repairs and maintenance issues. 

• Respect safety and hygiene protocols. 

Other qualifications  :  

• A high school diploma or equivalent is required. 

• Be available to work 20 hours per week from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. (or split shifts between morning and evening).

• Previous experience in maintenance or cleaning – an asset. 

• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively. 

• Attention to detail and concern for cleanliness.

As a Dock Supervisor, you are accountable for ensuring that the dock employees are working in a safe and efficient manner. You are responsible to ensure smooth operations, efficiencies, people management, freight flow, change implementation, and safety, aligned to operational expectations and guidelines. This position is all about the effective management of freight flow through the management of people and safety, continuous improvement, problem solving and effective communication.

How You’ll Help
•    Lead and manage a fast paced and high volume dock operation though a team of supervisors, lead hands, and front line employees to ensure the accurate and timely completion of all dock activities and supporting office tasks.
•    Coach and develop team members using a positive attitude, collaboration, clear communication, and direction. Make informed decisions based on safety, service, and productivity standards, with an un-derstanding of company processes, policies and procedures.
•    Initiate and lead process and customer experience improvements, while meeting deadlines and con-trolling costs.
•    Understand and use key metrics to manage terminal performance, including load factor, on-time de-livery, LMS, and freight flow.
•    Prioritize the unloading and loading of freight, moving all damaged freight and returns appropriately.
