Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for the routine/preventive maintenance and troubleshooting of manufacturing and packaging equipment.
Schedule: 1 Day Shift: 7 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.; 1 Afternoon Shift: 3:30 p.m. - 12:00 a.m.
Rate: $44.48/hour

How you will make contributions that matter:
• Carries out preventative maintenance on assigned equipment
• Trouble shoots and repairs equipment in breakdown situations to ensure that production efficiencies are achieved
• Carries out equipment installations and modifications as required
• Repair parts in shop
• Work effectively in a processing environment without jeopardizing food safety
• Follow company policies and safety standards
• Works with other trades groups to complete project assignments.
• Other duties as assigned
You are best suited for the role if you have the following qualifications:
• Millwright license with 5 years of relevant experience
• Electrical and PLC experience are an asset
• 4th class power engineering ticket an asset
• Proven experience with process equipment in a food industry or high-speed packaging plant
• Pneumatics and hydraulics knowledge
• Blueprint reading
• Welding experience
• Excellent trouble shooting and analytical skills.
• Boiler, refrigeration, and air handling systems experience is an asset
• Ability to work independently with minimum supervision; exhibit high level of self-motivation and initiative.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Afternoon shift with the ability to support all shifts (days, afternoon and night), incl. weekends and overtime as required.

At Day & Ross, our dock team is an important part of our business. As a Dock Worker, you’ll help us handle inbound and outbound customer freight and protect it from damage. You'll also help us keep a safe and clean work environment on the dock.
How You’ll Help:
- Handle big and bulky freight on the dock, both on and off a forklift.
- Follow TDG, WHMIS, and company policies, as well as any customer requirements.
- Pay attention to the details. Receive and ship freight accurately and efficiently.
- Other duties as required.
Your Skills & Experience:
- High school diploma or GED
- Previous transportation or dock experience is preferred
- Willingness and ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
- Ability to work efficiently with little to no supervision
- Ability to use computers/softwares

The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for providing general maintenance support for the Wetaskiwin facility and will report to the Maintenance Supervisor.
The Maintenance Technician will be required to be on a rotating on call schedule. MUST BE FLEXIBLE TO MEET THE NEEDS OF THE HATCHERY.
A snapshot of some of the exciting things you will lead and do:
- Maintain, repair and overhaul of building and production equipment
- Perform preventative maintenance and improvements or modifications to production equipment
- Support projects including working on project teams as required in the design, installation and commissioning of new or modified equipment
- Maintain complete and accurate records of maintenance inspections and repairs, preventative maintenance activities and meter readings
- Schedule / track / complete preventative maintenance on all equipment, machinery and boilers
- Schedule / track preventative maintenance on all trucks
- Sourcing and inventory control of machinery and hatchery parts
- Working independently, troubleshoot machine problems and devise solutions
- Responding to maintenance issues and alarms, after hours and on weekends and holidays, is required on a rotational basis
- Work with hatchery and quality teams to ensure proper operation of hatchery equipment including incubators and hatchers
- Seasonal grounds maintenance and record keeping
- Support production with setting eggs into incubators
- Other duties as assigned

- Attention to detail
