How You’ll Succeed

  • Client Service – Greet customers arriving for meetings and arrange contact with appropriate individual. Effectively deal with any client issues, concerns or problems promptly or refer to others as appropriate. Service the financial needs of existing clients when the Private Banking Advisor is not available (including sale of high value products and services within established guidelines).
  • Operational Excellence - Respond to incoming telephone calls and clients requests to process wires/cables and visa, tax and bill payments, and ensure requests get completed. Manage all fax requests for money orders, drafts, currency exchanges, etc. and ensure all requests are ready for customer to pick up in the branch. Complete complex investigations for clients concerning account activity.
  • Sales Support – Support Private Banking Advisor in the management of their portfolios by reviewing all customer documentation with respect to compliance with regulations and bank policies. Coordinate communication to customers regarding obtaining necessary financial information for completion of credit renewals, reviews and temporary overdraft protection. Monitor diary for upcoming maturities/renewals/expiries and advise the Private Banking Advisor.
  • Administrative Support – Assist the Manager, Private Banking Operations in rolling out special marketing or client events, and ensure the marketing material is current. Carry out a range of activities related to building and maintaining deposits as well as investment accounts. Process look-ups and provide information on accounts, loans and process cheque orders, and input credit details and loan notes into system.

The role receives general instructions on routine work and requires limited direction, collaborating to find simple solutions that make it easy for clients to bank with us.

Our Contact Centre is open Monday to Friday 7:00AM to Midnight, Saturday-Sunday 7:00AM to 10:00PM. This is a full-time and shift oriented role. We would like for you to be flexible between these hours.

  • Ability to work independently as an Agent @ Home with a secure workspace, in a room or office with a door that closes it off from noises and distractions. 
  • Wired Internet connection, capable of continuously supporting excellent call quality and high-speed response rate (Internet connection can be connected to modem through hard cable (not wireless) with a minimum download speed of 15 mbps and upload speed of 10 mbps).
  • Satellite internet providers are prohibited and cannot be used due to the impact on call quality and the stability of service.

As a Contact Centre Specialist II, Cards CARE you will assist clients with their credit cards operations and inquiries, identify their needs, and proactively suggest solutions to help them achieve their financial goals. You demonstrate solid written, verbal, and interpersonal skills to make a difference in clients’ lives, obtaining complete information on clients’ issues and summarizing and verifying the facts. The Contact Centre Specialist II, Cards CARE supports best practices, providing information and solutions to existing and potential clients regarding CIBC’s credit card products and services, including assisting clients with application and cancellation requests.

The role receives general instructions on routine work and requires limited direction, collaborating to find simple solutions that make it easy for clients to bank with us.

Our Contact Centre is open Monday to Friday 7:00AM to Midnight, Saturday-Sunday 7:00AM to 10:00PM. This is a full-time and shift oriented role. We would like for you to be flexible between these hours.

 

We have embarked on an Agent@Home remote work program. All employees are required to meet the Agent@Home program requirements and be able to attend your primary work location within two hours’ notice for any business related purposes.

 

Agent@Home Program Requirements

  • Ability to work independently as an Agent @ Home with a secure workspace, in a room or office with a door that closes it off from noises and distractions. 
  • Wired Internet connection, capable of continuously supporting excellent call quality and high-speed response rate (Internet connection can be connected to modem through hard cable (not wireless) with a minimum download speed of 15 mbps and upload speed of 10 mbps).
  • Satellite internet providers are prohibited and cannot be used due to the impact on call quality and the stability of service.

  • Product knowledge - Deeply understand CIBC’s suite of products and work with others to ensure clients are connected to the right people and opportunities. Proactively suggest banking options that will help clients achieve their financial goals. Understand and leverage other internal departments within CIBC to assist clients on additional needs

  • Strategic Development & Execution: Perform and coordinate complex solution design activities. You’ll work in a fast paced Contact Centre where you’ll proactively reach out to clients to suggest new and existing financial services products that will help them reach their financial goals. As an Outbound Financial Services Representative, you’ll share your knowledge of products and campaigns with clients through outbound calls.
