Overview of the Role

The EMS Specialist will address and manage the environmental responsibilities related to a major dairy manufacturing facility including being the lead in environmental stewardship at the site. 

How you will make contributions that matter:

• Aid in the deployment and site management of the new corporate Environmental Management System (EMS);

• Ensure the site clearly understands, leadership-endorsed environmental objectives and targets to work towards;

• Determine what factors/processes/systems have the greatest impact on the site's environmental sustainability KPIs (water, wastewater, waste, energy, etc.);

• Lead the site's effort to identify and manage significant environmental aspects (New Aspect Register);

• Conduct assessments to identify behaviors, processes, controls and technology to manage risk and drive improvement;

• Assess site-level training needs, arrange relevant training and ensure training records are updated;

• Raise awareness and ownership of environmental performance within the site;

• Analyze environmental and sustainability data to understand environmental performance, ensure compliance with permit conditions and identify trends;

• Engage appropriate plant personnel to roll-out new controls for improved risk management / continuous improvement on significant environmental aspects.

• Drive cost reduction initiatives through reduction at source efforts.

• Working knowledge of federal, provincial and local environmental standards and regulations;

• Working knowledge of relevant ISO standards, including the 14000 and 50000 family of standards, a plus;

• Understanding of programs like EPA Energy Star;

• Familiarity with MS Office, PLC’s, process instrumentation and ability to read process drawings.

• Working knowledge of SQF and/or BRC(British Retail Consortium) is an asset

Education and experience :

• Bachelor of Science/Engineering and/or diploma in environmental science or background in a relevant discipline, with a strong preference for engineering, environmental, environmental health and safety or sustainability;

• 3 to 5 years of experience in Environmental Compliance and/or Environmental Sustainability roles, with specific experience in:

  •  Implementing and reviewing/auditing environmental management systems.

  • Implementing an effective resource conservation (climate/water/waste) program in a manufacturing setting.

  • Engaging and influencing internal audiences around the benefits of sound environmental management.

  • Collecting, analyzing and reporting environmental and sustainability data.

• Experience with responding to requests around Sustainability and Corporate Responsibility (Carbon Disclosure Project, Walmart Index, SEDEX, etc.);

• Understanding of Manufacturing Practices within the food and beverage industry and how this relates to environmental issues;

• Relevant Professional certifications a plus.

Job Summary 

As a Digital Design Specialist (UX/UI Designer), you will be working on designing public and staff facing webpages and applications for the City of Toronto. What You’ll Be Doing

You will be joining CIBC’s Contact Center Technology group. As a Consultant, Application Development (.Net), you'll be at the heart of CIBC’s digital transformation, building easy, flexible, and personalized banking solutions to enhance client experience and change the way that people bank. You will determine methods and approaches to projects, transforming business requirements specifications into programming instructions, designing, coding and testing programs . Within a team of developers, you’ll broaden your technical skills and help build the bank of the future.

How You’ll Succeed

• Programming Skills - Develop, code and test web applications for straightforward assignments. Review, analyze, and modify programming systems, including encoding, testing, and debugging.

Who You Are

• You can demonstrate 5+ years’ experience and knowledge in designing, developing, implementing, documenting, and supporting applications with expertise in most of the following: .NET 6 or later (C#), REST API, Web Services, Microservices, User controls. It’s an asset if you have previous experience supporting a Finance Technology client group, contact center technology; previous experience working within Agile teams. You have work experience in Agile, Iterative and Software Delivery Life Cycle (SDLC).

Job Description:

In this role, you'll join a team to provide 24/7 support of our Google Cloud Platform (GCP) environment, focusing on operational support and optimizing its health and performance. Your expertise in Kubernetes Engine (GKE) will be crucial, as you'll oversee the management and security of our containerized applications. This includes ensuring efficient resource allocation and adherence to best practices for container deployments. Additionally, you'll be responsible for monitoring the performance and availability of GCP at a platform level, proactively identifying and resolving any potential issues.

Responsible for DEV to PROD GCP Cloud PaaS/IaaS support and processes. This is to ensure quality, performance, and availability of Public Cloud services (GCP).

The successful candidate must have demonstrated ability to learn new technologies and processes, resolve incidents, and solving problems by collaborating with others.

The candidate will be responsible for providing operational support for platforms and infrastructure hosted on TD's GCP Public Cloud.  The role requires familiarity with ITIL processes (change, incident, and problem management) and availability for off-hours escalated support. 

Provide planning, communication, and reporting of day-to-day ticket metrics and longer-term tactical objectives.

Level 2 support of TD business line GCP Cloud infrastructure including PaaS/IaaS/Containers across all production and test environments.

Manage non-standard/complex P1, P2 (major incidents), and P3 and P4 incidents and service requests.
