Overview

As a Massage Therapist, you will be responsible for providing massages and wellness treatments to our clients, ensuring they have a relaxing and beneficial experience. You will assess clients' individual needs, personalize treatments and promote a relaxing atmosphere. Task description :

1. Assessment and Consultation:

   • Conduct an initial assessment of each client to understand their massage needs, concerns and expectations.
   • Discuss medical history, current health concerns, and pressure and technique preferences.

2. Personalization of Treatments:

   • Adapt massages according to the specific needs of each client.
   • Use different massage techniques, such as Swedish, deep tissue, shiatsu, etc., depending on needs.

3. Execution of Massages:

   • Provide high quality massages following best practices and ensuring the client feels comfortable and relaxed.
   • Use essential oils and appropriate equipment to enhance the guest experience.

4. Hygiene and Cleanliness:

   • Maintain a clean and hygienic environment in the massage room, by disinfecting surfaces and changing linens after each client.
   • Follow personal hygiene protocols, including frequent hand washing.

5. Tips and Recommendations:

   • Provide advice to clients on post-massage care, relaxation and improving well-being.
   • Recommend additional treatments if necessary.

6. Keeping Records:

Job Summary: As a member of the BGIS SCS Team, you will be generally responsible for cleaning in a designated zone with an emphasis on quality control, health and safety & striving to exceed client expectations. 

Key Responsibilities: Functioning as a core member of the operational team and reporting to the Manager/ Supervisor as a Cleaner you may be required to perform some of the following tasks as required by the Manager/Supervisor and needs of the client:

• Clean floors by sweeping, scrubbing, or vacuuming
• Dry/wet mop (wash/scrub) and polish hard surface floors. (The washing/scrubbing of floors is done with handheld or auto scrubbers. In large open applications, automatic equipment may be used to perform these functions) 
• Strip and finish hard surface floors manually or with power equipment when required 
• Dry/wet mop (wash/scrub) and polish hard surface floors including washroom floors. (The washing/scrubbing of floors is done with handheld or walk behind buffing machines. In large open applications, automatic equipment may be used to perform these functions) 
• Transport garbage from drop points to garbage bins or compactor 
• Transport maintenance machinery, where necessary, between floors and job sites 
• Cleans and stores equipment and machinery used
• Cleans glass areas requiring ladders, scaffolding or other extension equipment to reach. 
• Cleans washroom floors including stripping and finishing 
• Cleans stairwells and elevator cabs where ladders are required 
• Loads and unloads supplies and replenishes cleaning solutions
• Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment to prevent damage to floors and fixtures
• Other duties that management may assign

Job Requirements:

• Experience in performing various cleaning, housekeeping and maintenance activities in an institutionalized environment.
• Experience in using floor maintenance machines, cleaning equipment, materials and solutions.
•  Knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act and the provisions that apply to this work including WHMIS.
• Ability to lift, push and pull heavy items as well as climb ladders.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to maintain cooperative working relationships with staff, clients and the general public.
• Ability and willingness to work weekends, holidays and shifts as assigned as well as work in multiple locations.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions, prepare and maintain manual and electronic records.

Licenses and/or Professional Accreditation

• Must meet security clearance requirements, where applicable
• Must have a valid Class G license (may be required)

What you will do:

• Operate the telephone switchboard and receive all incoming calls; determine the nature of calls; answer, ask questions and/or transfer calls to the appropriate person or division
• Act as the first contact on site with visitors
