What you’ll be working on:

• Maintenance of site equipment
• Completion of preventative and predictive maintenance inspections and electrical and/or mechanical repairs for all equipment within area of responsibility
• Execute daily assigned work
• Manage through emergency breakdowns
• Support in root cause and prevention of future downtime events
• Work collaboratively with operators and other classifications across the site to reduce downtime, safety and quality risks
• Effective communication for shift crossovers, work order feedback, production meetings, and activity coordination between other shifts

Qualifications

• MANDATORY REQUIREMENT: Must currently possess a valid Electrical license in the province of Ontario (309A or 442) with certificate of apprenticeship as an asset

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Responsible for a team of maintenance planners, schedulers and storeroom to ensure Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) are met for department
• Manage maintenance projects and periodic shutdowns
• Ensure scheduled planned preventative and predictive maintenance are completed to standard to minimized unplanned downtime
• Analysis of equipment/downtime issues to identify root cause and development of corrective actions

Job Summary
This position maintains a diverse range of delivery vehicles, from a variety of manufacturers. He/She troubleshoots and maintains/repairs various systems including hydraulic brakes, electronics, and engines. This position performs other tasks as requested.

Responsibilities:

• Repairs all UPS vehicles

In this role you will oversee all electrical work of electricians, designers and apprentices. • Troubleshoot and diagnose failed electronics components using a variety of testing devices

• Supervise, educate, and train apprentices

• REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Licensed Master Electrician

• 2+ years licensed experience

Minimum Qualifications:

• Licensed Electrician or equivalent electrical engineering certificate
• Completion of an industrial electrician apprenticeship program or equivalent  
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in the automotive industry as an industrial electrician

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Safe Installation and repair of equipment

• Install, examine, replace and repair electronic wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, conduits, feeders, cable assemblies, lighting fixtures and other electrical components. 
• Test electrical and electronic equipment and components for continuity, current, voltage and resistance.
• Inform the Maintenance Manager about changes in electrical circuits and updates to the original diagrams
• Wire new control panels according to drawings and verbal instructions under consideration of Hydro codes and other applicable standards and regulations.
• Pass on information, experience and knowledge to other maintenance employee, to ensure effective, non-repetitious problem solving and machine repairs.

Responsible for pre-tripping trailers and performing minor repairs as required.

How You’ll Help

• Pre-trip trailers in both dock doors and yard and perform minor repairs as reqired
• Work with dispatch and dock to identify trailers to be pre-tripped
• Minor repairs to trailers include but not limited to, lights, glad-hands, etc
• Operate a motor vehicle equipped for pre-tripping trailers
• Report deficiencies to maintenance manager or shift supervisor
• Other related duties as may be required.
