Physical Requirements:

• The candidates should have the physical endurance for physically demanding tasks and be capable of efficiently handling heavy loads
• The candidates should be comfortable with activities such as bending, crouching, kneeling, and standing for extended periods as part of their duties
• The candidates should have attention to detail in their work and be able to work in dusty, cold, hot, or potentially dangerous conditions
• The candidates should be comfortable working at heights, in refrigerated environments, and in noisy conditions
• The candidates should be able to work outdoors and in wet or damp conditions

Responsibilities:

• The candidates should be able to check formwork, granular base, and steel reinforcement materials, direct concrete placement according to grade, and level the top surface to specifications
• The candidates should be able to fill hollows, remove spots on freshly poured cement, and operate power vibrators to compact concrete
• The candidates should be able to work at heights, on scaffolding, or swing stages, and impart desired finishes to concrete surfaces using hand and power tools
• The candidates should be able to instruct apprentices, install anchor bolts, steel plates, door sills, and other fixtures, and apply hardening and sealing components to cure surfaces
• The candidates should be able to waterproof, damp proof, and restore surfaces, repair, resurface, and replace worn or damaged sections of concrete structures, and estimate costs and materials
• The candidates should be able to read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications
