Group Summary:

• Co-ordination of all inbound Dortec truck traffic.
• Liaise with all departments in Dortec for all incoming shipments tracing material and ensuring it arrives in a timely manner.
• Ensures premium freight/expedite is authorized by department head.
• Tracking of all premium and regular freight cost.
• Define improvements and cost savings for transportation North America and Overseas and ensure the corresponding measurable.
• Liaise with selected carriers for the definition of routings and transportation schedules.

• Design, develop and implement Logistic procedures, policies and forms.

Qualification and Skills

• Completion of high school or equivalent.

This part-time seasonal position assists UPS Package Drivers with deliveries and pick-ups of UPS packages at UPS drop boxes and customer locations in and around Port Perry Area. This role involves performing physical work in a fast-paced environment including continual lifting, lowering and carrying packages. The Fire Services Dispatcher is required to operate and maintain Communications Centre equipment; receive emergency calls and dispatch appropriate apparatus

Responsibilities:

• Answering and dispatching both agency direct, 911and civilian calls for emergency fire resources to incidents
• Operating a computer aided dispatch and records management system, emergency radio system, multi-line 911 and administrative telephone system, GIS mapping system, along with various other systems within the fire dispatch centre
• Assess information provided by callers to correctly dispatch the required fire resources in accordance with established policies and procedures

What will I be doing?
