Job Description
- The candidate must clean and sanitize items such as dishwasher mats, carts, and waste disposal units.
- The candidate must clear and clean tables, trays, and chairs.
- The candidate must be able to use dishwashers to clean dishes, glasses, and flatware.
- The candidate must replenish condiments and other supplies at tables and serving areas.
- The candidate must sanitize and wash dishes and other items by hand.
- The candidate will be responsible for keeping track of the food quantities consumed.
- The candidate will be responsible for packaging take-out food.
- The candidate must portion and wrap foods.
- The candidate must prepare, heat, and finish simple food items.
- The candidate will be responsible for serving customers at counters or buffet tables.
- The candidate will be responsible for stocking refrigerators and salad bars.
- The candidate will be responsible for taking customer orders.
- The candidate must clean, peel, slice, and trim foods using both manual and electrical appliances.
- The candidate must clean and sanitize the kitchen, including work surfaces, cabinets, storage areas, appliances, and equipment.
- The candidate must be capable of handling and storing cleaning products.
- The candidate will be responsible for receiving, unpacking and storing supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards and other storage areas.
- The candidate will be responsible for removing kitchen garbage and trash regularly.
- The candidate will be responsible for sweeping, mopping, washing and polishing floors.
Job Requirements
- The candidate should be fluent in English language.
- There are no standard education requirements such as a bachelor’s degree, a certificate, or a diploma.
- Training will be provided to the selected candidate.
- The candidate must be able to handle weight up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
Work setting
- The candidate should work in an urban area with a high population density.
- The candidate should work in restaurants that are generally fast-paced and require the utmost efficiency.
- The candidate should work in the fast food sector and maintain high customer service standards during high-volume, fast-paced operations.

- The candidate must have experience using deep fryers, electronic cash registers, and grills.

Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have Minimum Grade 12 diploma
Experience: Candidates should have minimum 3 years of experience in a commercial kitchen or a restaurant
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be physically fit, capable of bending, kneeling, crawling, stooping, climbing and lifting up to 70 lbs repetitively

The candidates should be able to obtain and retain a Restricted Area Identification Card (RAIC)

- The candidates should have Food Safe Level 1 certification
- The candidates should successfully pass both Airside Vehicle Operator’s Permit (AVOP) and Radio Operator’s Certificate (ROC-A) written exams within 60 days of employment Completion of AVOP certification is required within 90 days of employment
Responsibilities:
- The candidate should be able to prepare a wide range of food items, including baked goods, sandwiches, salads, wraps, snacks, and hot food items
- The candidate should be able to be part of the BWB Team presenting a clean, organized, and efficient bistro with a reputation for delicious food
- The candidate should be able to ensure all safety and health regulations and best practices are met or exceeded and ensure food items are cooked, packaged correctly, stored, and handled at appropriate temperatures
- The candidate should be able to monitor and maintain inventory levels of ingredients, ensuring adequate supplies for daily operation and participate in inventory counts and communicate inventory needs to management
- The candidate should be able to rotate stock and ensure the freshness of ingredients to minimize waste and adhere to proper sanitation practices, including personal hygiene, handwashing, and maintaining a clean work area
- The candidate should be able to promote effective communication to maintain efficient workflow between the kitchen and the counter staff and make adjustments to accommodate clients with specific allergies and diet restrictions
- The candidate should be able to prepare items according to BWB recipes, portion sizes, and quality standards established and follow recipes accurately to maintain consistency in taste, presentation, and portion size
- The candidate should be able to ensure a high standard of food safety and cleanliness in the kitchen, including monitoring food storage, expiry dates, and promptly addressing any concerns regarding food quality to management
- The candidate should be able to regularly clean and sanitize equipment, utensils, and work stations to maintain a hygienic environment and report any maintenance issue with equipment to the appropriate personnel
