The Credit Card Systems group is searching for a Senior Software Developer to join our team. As a Software Developer, you will partner with our other agile squads, business partners, and Site Reliability Engineering teams in Toronto to design, develop, and deploy capabilities for Credit Card applications using existing and emerging technology platforms. What will you do?

 

  • Designing and coding application programs; performing testing for developed applications.

  • Reviewing, analyzing, and modifying programming systems, including encoding, testing, debugging and installing for a large-scale mainframe system.

  • Ensuring the operating efficiency of existing application systems. Maintaining records for the documentation of systems development and revisions.

  • Conducting analyses of organizational needs and goals for the development and implementation of application systems.

 

What do you need to succeed?


Must-have:

  • Minimum 5+ years of experience designing, developing, implementing, and maintain mainframe hosted applications, primarily using COBOL 6 in batch/file management, IMS (database/data communication), JCL, MQ, and DB2.

  • Understanding of job scheduling.

  • Change/release management – experience deploying to production environments via Dev Ops pipelines.

  • Software change management tools (ideally Helios, GitHub, Jenkins, and Urban Code Deploy) to configure/create a build after committing changes to auto-deploy the code and troubleshoot failures.

 

Nice-to-have:

  • Understanding of zOS/Connect environment.

  • Agile software development (software development life cycle) – experience working in a cross functional team as a software developer, from project ideation to production deployment.

  • Experience using Jira & Confluence.

  • DevOps experience with tools such as Dynatrace.

  • API development experience.

  • ZEKE; IBM ADFz Product.

The ICO - Automation & Development Group within Technology Infrastructure is hiring a Full Stack Developer to add to our high-performing (and awesome) team. Our group consists of ICO - Operations team, ICO - project Management team, and your potential new home, our multi-talented Technology Platforms Automation team. Our developers nurture from scratch applications and automate processes that make our Technology Platforms & Risk Management partners' lives easy and more efficient.

 

What will you do?

  • Work within a cross-functional agile development team.

  • Work with development teams and product managers to ideate software solutions.

  • Design client-side and server-side architecture.

  • Write technical documentation.

  • Troubleshoot and debug applications.

  • Build user-facing applications and reusable components.

  • Develop and deploy applications on the Openshift Platform.

 

What do you need to succeed?

 

Must Have:

  • Minimum 2+ years of related experience with Desktop and Web Development using React JS, Java, Python, Node JS, C#, ASP.net, REST API web services.

  • Working experience with SQL and NO SQL Databases.

  • Leadership acumen and a passion to apply it in a dynamic business environment.

  • Strong foundation in data structure, algorithms, and design patterns.

  • Experience with Continuous Integration, Deliver, and Deployment knowledge.

  • Creative and analytical thinker who is self-driven and capable of working in a fast-paced environment.

  • Good understanding of Web Load Balancing, DNS, TLS, HTTPs, Firewalls, and application security setup.

  • Hands-On experience with OpenShift, Urban Code Deploy, GitHub, and Jenkins deployment methodologies.

  • Self-motivated – driven to get results, takes initiative, and needs minimum oversight.

 

Nice to Have:

  • University/College graduate, preferably in computer science or engineering with working experience in application development

  • Ability to hand-code all components.

  • Scrum, Agile, Jira, Confluence.

  • Google Analytics.

  • Experience with implementing user interface libraries such as Material – UI and ANT Design.

What will you do?

  • Prepare and execution of detailed unit test cases to test the Axiom code in Controller View.

  • Participate in process and practice improvement at RBC Axiom SME level in areas of software development, testing and release management.
  • Conduct analyses of organizational needs and goals for the development and implementation of application systems.

 

What do you need to succeed?
Must have:

  • 5+ years of development experience including minimum 3+ years of Oracle SQL development
  • Experience in Unix Scripting
  • Hands-on experience in technical design, development (coding/testing/debugging), and implementation of application
  • Knowledge of Python

 

Nice-to-have:

  • Development experience of AXIOM (Data sources, Data models, Modify models, Aggregations, Portfolios, Free-form Reports and Tabular Reports) will be trained on Axi
  • Experience with various DevOps pipeline and cloud tools such as Jenkins, GitHub, JIRA, Confluence, UCD, Artifactory, etc.
  • Experience working with ML or AI tools

In the role of a Banking Support Officer, you will administer the processing of any transactions that support deposit and branch network. What you’ll be doing  

  • Financial transactions. Executing financial transaction activities related to registered products (RRSP, RRIF, TFSA), payments (wires, EFTs, cheques, bill payments, etc.), deposits (remote deposit capture, NDDS, etc.), broker deposit administration, cash management products (CAFT, Business Online Banking, Online Wires, Business Visa, Corporate RDC), and Estate’s administration. 
  • Risk. Work with high risk and high client impact processes, including large dollar transactions, and transactions with tax implications for clients. 
  • Documentation. Maintenance of long-term document control and electronic reporting for all applicable tasks. 
  • Operations optimization. Proactively address potential procedure enhancements and best practices, sharing with management and peers. 
  • Privacy. Ensure that the confidentiality of the Bank and its customers in maintained by routinely securing all documentation during non-business hours and is aware of and adheres to employee code of conduct. 
  • Collaboration. Provide direct support to the CWB branch network, to enable them to deliver a “best in class” customer experience. 
  • Performance measures. Regularly review SLA targets in collaboration with individual leader to ensure client needs are met.
