This entry level Finance position is centered around preparing JE’s, GL account analysis and reporting but also requires significant amounts of time spent supporting staff with finance processes and providing vacation relief for yield reporting, livestock settlement and inventory accounting.

Reporting: (25%)

• Compose and upload Journal entries
• Prepare Balance sheet account reconciliations monthly
• Track and ensure outstanding items in reconciliations are cleared within 2 months
• Prepare weekly and monthly vitals reports
• Track government assistance payments and submit to corporate, if applicable
• Other reporting as required

Accounting & Controls (35% - 40%)

• Provide accounting support to other Office Staff
• Review Overhead expenses for materials usage and comparison to plan
• Review Overhead expenses accuracy and completeness (expense account analysis)
• Assist in cost forecasts and Budget preparation
• Regulate packaging and maintenance cycle counts
• Process direct post invoices
• Supplier Invoice processing follow up when needed
• Coordinate activities with Maintenance
• Perform quarterly C3 inventory control audits to ensure compliance to MLF standards
  • Create remediation measures to ensure compliance
  • Monitor remediation measures if items are non-compliant

Administrative (15%)

Vacation relief (20-25%)

• About 20 days per year of vacation relief for Cost Analyst.
• Cost Analyst/Live procurement position coverage
  • Create purchase orders and invoices for hog producers
  • Manually enter production transactions in SAP daily
  • Provide yield information to management & supervisors
  • Analyze inventory and make inventory adjustments as needed

The Opportunity:

The Electrician reports directly to the Maintenance Supervisor/Manager.
Working closely with other team members, this role will have direct accountability for troubleshooting, repairing, installing electrical/mechanical services and equipment in the plant while also being responsible for ensuring that daily preventative maintenance tasks and repairs are carried out accordingly to meet production needs.

• Install, maintain, test, troubleshoot and repair of:
  • Electrical equipment (AC Drives, power controls circuits, starters, motors, MCC's)
  • Microprocessor based systems (PLC's. DCS, Electronic circuits, controls)
  • Low and medium voltage distribution systems (single & three phase systems)
  • Instrumentation (pneumatic controls, PID, transducers, servos, analog/digital signals)
  • Power distribution & generation (generators, transformers, switchgears, breakers)
  • Communication and Data Systems (closed circuit TV, timekeeping, phone/computer)
  • HVAC, Emergency systems (refrigeration, energy control, alarm), hydraulic systems
• Conduct Planned Preventive & Predictive Maintenance and keep maintenance records
• Recommend and implement corrective action and required repairs
• Assist in planning, organizing of work activities (drawing interpretation, blue prints and schematics, parts preparation)
• Install new conduits, lighting fixtures, wiring, receptacles and other electrical components, examining or replace the old fixtures
• Check continuity, resistance, current or voltage of circuit for troubleshooting

The Opportunity:

The incumbent will be responsible for the administration of first aid and subsequent treatment to injured or ill employees and will be responsible for WSIB/STD/LTD Case Management.

• Manage and operate the Medical Centre and satellite First Aid Rooms, daily inspection, inventory control and cleanliness.
• Attend to assessment and treatment of ill or injured employees / tend to emergency situations both in the Centre and on the production floor
• Track all first aid incidents as required by Occupational Health and Safety legislation
• Receive and log as required all medical or health professional documentation concerning employees
• Liaise and communicate with all medical and health professionals providing care to employees if that care impacts employee’s capabilities
• Act as the WSIB Program Administrator
  • File Form 7’s
  • Initiate the Return to Work program with the support of Operations and Reliability
  • Keep an up to date Modified Work Tracker to ensure workers are being accommodated appropriately and communicate with the appropriate Team Leaders/Group Leaders/Operations Leaders/Health and Safety if updates are required.
  • Review all accepted WSIB claims for potential of appeal, file appeals and ultimately present submissions in support of the appeal
• Assess all potential new employees via pre-employment medicals and communicate findings if applicable to Human Resources and Health and Safety
• Complete all required documentation for storage of health center records
• Assess demographics of employees and health status of employees and provide no less than 6 health promotion strategies per year based on those demographics
• Assess ergonomics of all plant areas and suggest possible changes to reduce the risk of injury to workers.

POSITION SUMMARY
The Feed Truck Driver is responsible for the efficient delivery of feed products while providing courteous, quality-conscious customer service as set out by Maple Leaf Agri-Farms company guidelines.  

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provides quality customer service
• Delivers loads of feed as assigned by dispatcher
• Performs daily pre-trip, and weekly truck/trailer inspections
• Reports and discusses truck/trailer maintenance concerns with supervisor
• Maintains log book as required
• Keeps tractor/trailer unit clean and well organized, both inside and out, notwithstanding inclement weather conditions and the demand for on-time feed delivery
• Performs all paperwork according to business requirements
• Ability to work flexible hours, including some weekends and holidays
• Ability to work in extreme temperatures ranging from +40 to -40 degrees Celsius

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS:

• Valid Class 1A Driver’s License with favorable Driver’s Abstract
• 3-5 years of experience driving truck/trailer unit
• Strong communication skills, both oral and written
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
