Title: Security Supervisor

Reporting To: Security Manager, Midtown
Scheduled Hours: 40 hours per week, Rotating Shifts (Days & Evenings)

Job Description

Tasks & Responsibilities of this position include:

  • All duties and responsibilities normally performed by site security personnel;
  • Daily supervision of Security Personnel, oversee scheduling requirements, security assignments, incident reporting and patrols;
  • Oversee and assist in monitoring all sensitive areas and controlled access points;
  • Immediately respond and assist with security & life safety related requests made by customers, tenants and employees;
  • Respond immediately to emergencies and co-ordinate activities in accordance with established and approved lawful policies and procedures;
  • Ensure staff compliance with all log books, posted memos, brief books, written or verbal instructions and policies are read, initialed and understood by all staff;
  • Complete daily supervisory inspections as detailed by the Security Manager;
  • Oversee staff operation and compliance of department computer and technical equipment. Supervise the use of memo books, security uniforms and equipment. Monitor calls to dispatch and assist staff accordingly;
  • Assist the Security Manager with training and development of Security Personnel;
  • Ensure all Security reports are completed to site standards and filed appropriately;
  • Provide feedback to improve the process in the protection of assets;
  • Ensure that proper procedures are observed relative to reporting of liability claims and completion of occurrence reports;
  • Maintain communications with retail tenants, local law enforcement agencies local fire prevention personnel and local emergency medical services personnel;
  • Help implementation of emergency procedures, disaster recovery plans, building access control, security systems, reports and recommendations;
  • Any other tasks as directed by the Security Manager and/or General Manager.

 

Skills & Experience Required:

The preferred candidates will possess:

  • College diploma in Law Enforcement and/or Security Administration;
  • Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in retail environment;
  • Proven supervisory experience;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • Be self-motivated, diplomatic and confident individual in order to deal with tenants and the public;
  • Possess a valid Saskatchewan Drivers Licence;
  • Familiar with applicable health & safety legislation (eg. WHMIS, Occupational Health & Safety);
  • Certified in CPR, First Aid, AED & Oxygen Administration;
  • Must be able to provide Clear Criminal Background Certificate;
  • Highly organized and able to prioritize workload;
  • Able to work in a ‘Team’ environment.

The Receptionist warmly greets and provides front office support to clients and associates of Mastercard. The Receptionist is expected to exhibit a high degree of professionalism and to perform their duties in a manner consistent with Mastercard’s key expectations.  This position involves daily interaction with local and national guests, partners, and associates at all levels of Mastercard.  

 

Specific Responsibilities include: 

Front Desk Reception:

  • Support the front desk by managing the main telephone line, receiving, and routing phone calls for Mastercard.
  • Manage sign-in systems to track when visitors and vendors enter and leave the building.
  • Coordinate the receipt and pick-up of small items (envelopes, packages) in an efficient and timely manner.
  • Maintain continuous contact and collaborate with the Security and Conference Center teams to ensure smooth operation of daily business.
  • Greet and engage associates and visitors to ensure they feel welcome.
  • Assist with guests or vendors who assist the facilities team.
  • Maintain appropriate business attire.

Cushman & Wakefield:

  • Provide administrative support, including phone support, typing reports, filing and distribution of correspondence.
  • Prepare and code invoices for Property Manager’s approval.
  • Track and file contracts and insurance certificates; maintain follow-up system for expirations.
  • Assist with maintaining the property purchase order system.
  • Extra hours may be needed during Board Meetings.
  • Any additional tasks or duties assigned by the Property Manager or Assistant Property Manager.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Education: High school diploma required.

Work Experience: At least two years of experience in front-line customer service, general office and/or administrative support positions.

Travel: This position requires no business travel.

Job Description

• Assist with troubleshooting and repairs of buildings and installed systems to include: packaging and handling machinery, plumbing systems, kitchen equipment, roofs, drains, shop, grounds equipment, and HVAC
• Clean, lubricate, and service a wide variety of pumps, valves, pneumatic controls, electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic devices
• Assist with installation and modification of building equipment and systems
• Replace and repair building finishes such as ceiling tiles, door hardware, wall paper, and can paint walls, piping, floors and equipment
• Troubleshoot, evaluate, and make recommendations to upgrade maintenance operations and/or implement savings opportunities
• Possess competent knowledge of the use and care of tools and equipment used in facility and ground maintenance
• Respond immediately to emergency situations and customer service requests as assigned.
• Inspect buildings, grounds, and equipment for unsafe or malfunctioning conditions, preventative maintenance, etc.
• Maintain and operate fire and life safety systems such as; Fire alarm systems, fire pumps and related fire protection system equipment as assigned
• Perform carpentry and snow removal when necessary
• Comply with all applicable codes, regulations, governmental agency, and Company directives as related to building operations and practice safe work habits
• Ability to use technology such as; smart phones, tablets, computers, web-based applications, building automation systems, etc.
• Complete all required C&W Safety Training as scheduled annually.
