Makes periodic patrols to check for irregularities and to inspect protection devices and fire control equipment. Preserves order and may act to enforce regulations and directives for the site pertaining to personnel, visitors, and premises. Controls access to client site or facility through the admittance process Patrols assigned site on foot or in vehicle; checks for unsafe conditions, hazards, unlocked doors, security violations, blocked entrances and exits, mechanical problems, and unauthorized persons. Protects evidence or scene of incident in the event of accidents, emergencies, or security investigations. Responds to incidents of fire, medical emergency, bomb threat, flooding, water discharge, elevator emergency, hazardous materials, inclement weather, and other incidents. Prepares logs and reports as required. Specific duties or tasks may vary and be documented separately. The employee might not be required to perform all functions listed. This position is responsible for loading, unloading, shipping, receiving, scanning, sorting, and stocking packages. The employee may utilize heavy machinery to complete tasks. This position performs other tasks as assigned in a fast-paced environment.

• Learns and properly executes UPS package handling methods.

• Loads and unloads UPS packages into trailers or package cars.  

DESCRIPTION

• Starting hourly rate: $ 17.30/h

• Maximum rate: $ 25.81/h (probation + 48 month progression)

• Approximately 3-5 hours per day

• Tuition reimbursement (up to $3000) *conditions may apply

• Overtime after 5 hours of work.

Overview

Supports station/call centre operations and management in all aspects of business and office procedures including liaison with internal and external customers, suppliers and employees. Co-ordinates all administrative aspects of the station/call centre and directly assists senior manager in achievement of departmental goals.

This position is a temporary and seasonal Part-time role requiring use of one's personal vehicle to deliver packages primarily in residential areas.Employee performs in a physical, fast-paced, outdoor position involving continual lifting, lowering, and carrying packages.

Responsibilities:

• Retrieves, loads packages into personal vehicle, and delivers packages to customers.

Shift:

• Available Monday to Friday between the hours of 10am – 7pm to work minimum 3-5 hours? Normally the start time is between 10am and Noon
