The goal of the Inside Equipment Sales Representative is to improve the overall end-to-end customer experience within our retail stores (from qualifying to delivery/after-sales follow-up), and secondarily to create opportunities and increased walk-in traffic through outbound calling from a list of assigned accounts and leads generated from the Business Intelligence team. These individuals are based at a branch and serve walk-in customers. This position is required to not only improve our customer experience but also to be better at handling customer information requests quickly and efficiently.

The annual total compensation target is $100,000.

 

 

Job Description:

  • Outbound calling from a list of assigned accounts (Finning Customers) and leads generated from the Business Intelligence team to find equipment opportunities.
  • Manage each sale from quoting submission through invoicing (including coordination with shop, warranty doc submission, coordination of finance documentation, my.finning.com setup/orientation, etc.).
  • Promote visits to the branch by outbound calls and being active in social media.
  • Handle all walk-in traffic and customer inquiries for new, used, and rental equipment sales.
  • Provide product information, walkarounds on-site demonstrations, quotes, and try to close the deal in the branch.
  • Responsible for the rolling out of retail and marketing initiatives within the branch (such as marketing materials, layouts and all active campaigns).
  • Ensure that office spaces and customer-facing common areas are tidy.
  • Manage all retail layout, merchandise and marketing displays (primary contact person for all CX and Marketing initiatives).

 

Education and Experience:

  • 3-5+ years of experience in sales consulting, which can include: online, telemarketing and physical sales.
  • Must be knowledgeable in Microsoft Outlook and possess basic computer knowledge.
  • Must understand construction phases, job situations, and project conditions for the timing of approaching customer and rental product application suggestions.
  • Self-motivated and takes initiative.

The Headlines:

In the role of a Territory Sales Representative working in Greater Victoria Territory, you will be part of the British Columbia Commercial team. This position reports to the District Sales Manager and is responsible for achieving volume and distribution targets for our continued success in the region.

This role provides hands-on training, company vehicle, cell phone, tablet, and the opportunity to learn and grow with one of Canada's oldest brewing companies.

The Responsibilities:

  • Through a First Choice lens, build and support relationships with key customers, business partners, industry associations, government and suppliers
  • Negotiate annual agreements for on-premise and retail customers to ensure profitability and success when assisting in the implementation of their strategic initiatives
  • Achieve and exceed targeted sales plans on a daily, weekly, monthly and annual basis
  • Ensure brilliant execution by building rapport and supporting product standards
  • Plan and administer budgets, develop business case proposals and execution
  • Participate in daily sales meetings with your team
  • Analyze valuable data by tracking volume, distribution performance and the competitive landscape to develop strategies that will help us meet any challenge

  • You have 1 - 5 years' progressive experience in sales and key accounts management in the consumer or direct store delivery industries;
  • You must have and maintain a provincial valid driver’s license in good standing with no limitations/restrictions.
  • As part of the recruitment process, the candidates will be required to provide consent to complete a criminal background check and provide a driver’s abstract

Job Posting Total Rewards Offerings: $50,900.00 - $66,800.00 (posting salary range) + 30% target short term incentive + $11,000 on average spent on benefits per employee, including but not limited to health, dental, vision, retirement with above market employer match, wellness incentives and EAP + paid time off (including holidays, vacation days and sick days).
