How You’ll Help

• Responsible for the maintenance and repair of trucks according to work orders and in keeping with level of training/apprenticeship (see below)
• Maintaining safe shop environment (may include snow removal from the roof, de-icing, washing vehicles, sweeping, etc. 
• Journeyperson Technicians independently repair and maintain trucks (see above) and provide general direction, guidance, mentoring and training to Pre-Apprentice and Apprentice Technicians.     
• Maintenance and repair of truck bodies, including miscellaneous accessories such as hubcaps, decals, reflective tape, painting, etc. 
• Documentation of all findings and work done.
• Lead Journeyperson Technicians provide work direction for all team members and act as escalation point for complex maintenance and repairs.
• Provide guidance, mentoring and training to Pre-Apprentice and Apprentice Technicians 
• Work independently to complete diagnostic, service, repair, and maintain trucks.
• Maintain and repair truck bodies, including miscellaneous accessories such as hubcaps, decals, reflective tape, painting, etc. 
• Document and update Service Supervisor/Service Manager on completion time changes, all findings, work done and potential future service requirements.

Your Skills & Experience: 

• Post-secondary training in truck repair and/or completion of truck technician certificate course
• Preference given to applicants with Red Seal journeyperson certification
• Additional training in tire repairs and/or refrigeration will be considered an asset 
• Candidates enrolled in trailer repair apprenticeship may also be considered.
• Valid Class 1 license also considered an asset
• Previous work experience in an industrial environment, preferably in the transportation industry.
• Previous experience and qualification to perform Safety inspections is required in this position. 
• Physically fit and able to lift, move, reach, bend, walk, stand, grasp, balance, climb, kneel and crouch for extended period of time

Job Summary:

The Electrician/PLC Programmer is responsible for, Equipment and Plant electrical systems, programming, repairing, troubleshooting and maintaining programmable logic controller (PLC) systems used within the Pepsi bottling/processing facility. Inspects equipment for proper functioning and performs mechanical/electrical preventative maintenance duties per manufacturer's specifications. The successful candidate will also support day to day electrical and mechanical maintenance activities, including, preventative maintenance, repairs, changeovers and installations for other advanced production/manufacturing equipment. In this challenging role you will be a member of a team working in a high production environment performing preventative maintenance to locomotives. The starting Diesel Mechanic rate is $45.24/hr. The Diesel Mechanic classification will be determined by experience and current shop mix.

Description:

As a Maintenance Worker I, you may perform routine tasks related to grounds keeping and facility maintenance. Working independently and/or as part of team, you may maintain lawns, flowerbeds, trees and shrubs, collect and dispose garbage, remove snow and ice, spread salt and sand, clean mechanical rooms and shop areas, and assist tradespeople and other maintenance staff as needed.

This position performs general yard quality control. This position will be responsible for maintaining adequate egress in and around the yard. They will work directly with shifters and drivers in preparation of trailers for staging and dispatch to customer locations and general equipment flow. This position may include other work as directed.

Responsibilities:

• Prepares work zone with suitable equipment in accordance with current guidelines.
• Assists with organizing specified set-up.
• Checks the quantity and condition of delivery units.
• Fills out documentation or records and validates information on the appropriate media. ie. yard check
• Cleans work environment during or after operations.
• Reports any malfunctions to the supervisor.
• The position requires lifting up to 70lbs unassisted.
• Position will include the use of heavy machinery (power jack)
