- The candidates should be prepared for physically demanding tasks and be comfortable with repetitive tasks.

- The candidates should possess manual dexterity, hand-eye coordination, and be able to handle heavy loads.
- The candidates should be willing to work overtime when required and able to handle weights up to 23 kg (50 lbs)

- The candidates should be able to accurately mix, pour, and spread materials, pave and rake asphalt, and assist in demolishing buildings effectively
- The candidates should be able to meticulously level earth to fine grade specifications, clean and pile salvaged materials accurately, and perform routine maintenance work diligently
- The candidates should be able to efficiently remove rubble and other debris at construction sites, tend or feed machines or equipment used in construction appropriately, and direct traffic at or near construction sites professionally
