The Transportation Specialist is responsible for managing client and carrier reporting, maintaining transportation systems, conducting detailed rating analysis, and providing operational support. Responsibilities:

• Manage client and carrier reporting, ensuring accurate data collection and analysis.

• Maintain transportation systems, ensuring all systems are up-to-date and functioning effectively.

Qualifications:

• Microsoft Office Suite - Intermediate to Advanced Excel skills

This part-time seasonal position assists UPS Package Drivers with deliveries and pick-ups of UPS packages at UPS drop boxes and customer locations in and around Burlington,ON. This role involves performing physical work in a fast-paced environment including continual lifting, lowering and carrying packages. The Package Delivery Driver position is a physical, fast-paced, outdoor position that involves continual lifting, lowering and carrying packages that typically weigh 25 - 35 lbs. and may weigh up to 70 lbs. Group Summary:

• Co-ordination of all inbound Dortec truck traffic.
• Liaise with all departments in Dortec for all incoming shipments tracing material and ensuring it arrives in a timely manner.

• Design, develop and implement Logistic procedures, policies and forms.

• Tracking of all inbound and outbound trucking activities.
• Rectify service and operation problems and advise supervisor to ensure adjustments for correction.
• Ensures efficient transportation, cost saving opportunities.
• Providing information on a daily basis, identify trouble areas and implementing procedures to reduce confusion.
• Maintain plant/carrier relations, insuring service levels are within expectations.
• Recognizes problem areas when loading and/or unloading operations are being performed either at supplier locations or plant.

Qualification and Skills

• Completion of high school or equivalent.
• 3 to less than 5 years of work-related experience.

• CITT Certification would be an asset
• TMS (Transport Management System) knowledge, would be an asset
• Excellent knowledge of computer software including but not limited to MRP, Drive, and Microsoft Office: Word, Excel & PowerPoint
