Minimum Requirements:

  • Five years of post-Journeyperson maintenance experience with your completion of a registered apprenticeship program, with journeyperson red seal certification  
  • Five years of relevant maintenance experience in the maintenance of pipelines, oil and gas facilities, refineries, pulp and paper, mine process, or other related industries  
  • A valid Alberta Journeyperson Electrical Certificate and valid Oil Field Safety Certification; attach your Journeyperson / Oil Field Safety tickets with your application to be considered

Responsibilities:

Job Details

Our Extraction Maintenance Execution team is looking for a skilled Millwright Journeyperson at our Baseplant location. You will play a critical role in the support of installing, servicing, and repairing plant equipment safely and efficiently while collaborating with a dynamic team.

 

 

Minimum Requirement

  • Five years of experience working as a millwright in a heavy industrial environment

  • A valid Alberta Journeyperson Millwright Certificate or an Interprovincial Red Seal Journeyperson Millwright Certificate

  • A High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)

  • A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record

  • A strong safety mindset with proven safe work practices and knowledge of Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) and Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S) regulations

  • A deep understanding and demonstration of safe work practices

  • A high degree of attention to detail and accuracy

  • Strong communication, troubleshooting and analytical skills as well as the ability to make timely decisions

  • Strong collaboration skills that enable you to build strong, positive relationships with diverse groups

 

Key Accountabilities:

  • Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair stationary industrial machinery and mechanical equipment

  • Work closely with other maintenance and/or operations as required to ensure equipment/plant reliability

 

Location and other Key Details:

  • You will work out of our Baseplant site in Fort McMurray, Alberta

  • The shift schedule is a six days on/six days off rotation (three days on, three nights on, six days off; 12-hour shifts)

  • This position is safety sensitive

  • You will be required to perform some heavy lifting, use ladders and work on elevated work sites such as scaffolds and towers with the ability to perform in a variety of different environments both indoor and outdoor as well as within confined spaces
